Both are based of videogames. If you like FFXIV, you will like Visions of V. It feels a lot like Shadowbringers. Give it a shot, its really cool. V is hotter than Emet. Don't @ me. 

I just finished reading it and I really loved it. The truth is that I saw this manga as necessary to deepen V's character more since I felt he was a bit short in the game I feel like we saw more aspects of him,scenes that aren´t in the game and learned more about dante and vergil's past anyways 100% recommended if you have already played DMC 5, read it and give it a chance because even the artwork is cool 

Sometimes it feels like DMC on itself got some inspiration from Devilman. Angelic or Greek/Roman/Christian aesthetics are depicted as deceptive in both worldbuildings, while making Demons more of troubled creatures rather than mindless zombies, despite their monstruous forms. The struggle between bestiality (demons) vs the mind and heart (humans) is real in both of these two. Without having played DMC you can take a look on Visions of V as a "standalone", however, it spoils the whole purpose of DMC5. Give this a try if you're willing to get into the games. Devilman has some BL going on and tells the story of the main demonic figure suffering the karmic consequences of being a heartless sociopath, while DMC is about the struggle of two twins who struggling accepting both their half demon and half human sides entirely. Visions of V is a main's POV during DMC5 and many flashbacks from childhood and his path towards self-destruction. read more
