Synopsis

It's the golden age of treasure hunters who seek wealth, honor, power and glory, and explore treasures around the world without regard to danger. "Let's become treasure hunters," said Kurai Andolihy, who swore an oath with his childhood friends to become the strongest... but he discovered during his first quest that he has no talent. But that was only the beginning of his adventure.

"I can't do this anymore. I want to quit."
"Oh, I see. In other words, we should fight harder and cover for you, that's a good handicap."
"Rest assured, Kurai. We'll protect you!"
"Oh, wait. If you step on that, the trap will destroy you without leaving a speck of dust behind. Be careful, Leader!"

Protected by his overpowered childhood friends, sought out by newbies and nobles, they aim to be heroes and find powerful treasures. Will Kruai really be able to retire safely from being a treasure hunter?

The story is quite amusing. It's enjoyable to read because of some of the nonsense. The MC gets misunderstood or misinterpreted quite a number of times and leads to some arbitrary happenstance.

It's similar to Eminence in Shadow, although in the MC's case, he pushes all his work onto his subordinates and boom, misunderstanding leading to near death experience.

Art is so-so. Wouldn't say it's very good, not very bad either, so it's so-so. Characters design is pretty decent as well.

I would say if you enjoyed Eminence in Shadow, then this is gonna be good and I recommend both.

This manga has some interesting quicks and kinks, but it ultimately fails to expand on its established trope, losing its charm over time. An issue applicable to all misunderstanding mangas is that it simply gets boring after a while; there’s usually no twist into the plot or progression in character that makes the reading experience emulate a journey. This manga is not an exception to that simple truth, as the characters remain one-dimensional and the plot is disinteresting.

The main character is where all the blame falls on; the author could’ve written a lofty character that rediscovers his ambitions, but no matter how far I ...

One of the worst manga I've read in years. Every character is obnoxious and unlikable. MC is an all powerful genius that pretends to be an idiot because...reasons? No story here at all. Characters just battle random monsters while acting like fools. I absolutely cannot stand these stories where they are fighting to the death and then goofing around like 8 year olds. It's silly but has no comedy. It has action scenes but you can't take any of it serious. It's incredibly boring with endless conversations about who is stronger than who. This manga is absolute bottom of the barrel stuff. Definitely skip this ...
