Both stories center around royalty that have to survive in an unknown environment. They both have been reset or reincarnated to change the events of what happened before, both being their deaths. Both MCs are innocent and likable so if you enjoyed one then you'll most likely enjoy the other. The Abandoned Empress is a bit more dark than Who made me a Princess but its still enjoyable. 

Both main protagonists try to avoid a future which will ultimately result in their death. While Aristia (The Abandoned Empress) is sent to the past after being executed, Catarina (Hamefura) regains her memories of a past life and realizes that she is the villainess of an Otome game. Just like Catarina, Aristia begins to establish very important relationships with a lot of different people that she hadn‘t really known in her previous life and starts working towards a future, in which she can decide her own fate. Aristia is more composed and smarter than Catarina, which enables her to make use of her memories of the future to avoid being accused of treason. Catarina on the other hand, tries to find a way to avoid her death flags that occur when the ending of one of the game‘s routes is reached. Both characters thus work very hard to prevent their deaths. read more 

Both of these manhuas have generally the same main idea. They both are going to become the crown princess/empress, and they make many mistakes in their first run. They get executed, and then they get sent back in time, and they make plans to prevent mistakes they made in their first run in life. However, since they revamped their personalities and vowed to make a change, their surrounding people have also changed to not what they had remembered.
