So the Abandoned Empress was probably one of the first Korean webtoons I've ever read, and was what probably dragged me down into the manhwa hole that I haven't gotten out of yet.

In general I liked it.
The manhwa had a hasty end, according to the publisher, so the story itself could not narrate the true events of the past, or clarify them, the story is not about the protagonist staying with the man who hurt her, rather, both were victims in the past, for the political interests of the true villain, who was barely shown. I read the novel and it has a certain degree of realism and emotional complexity in showing the characters only from Aristia's point of view, but the manhwa fell short in that regard by having to summarize the story.
