Very similar art and story presentation style. Similar character interactions too. But it's no wonder, since these mangas are by the same author. If you enjoyed either of those two - you will definitely like the other one. Give it a try.

It goes without saying that you can read Hyouka's novel/manga or even just watch the anime in order to enjoy "Insomniacs After School"! If you were attatched to Hyouka's characters, please do yourself a favor and read the following manga, their characters are similar and it fulfilled exactly what Hyouka's fans never received (probably know what I mean). Themes and atmosphere of these works are very similar, hence I'm sure you can binge the recommended manga as it's not difficult to read and one of *my* most ENJOYABLE manga read ever - 80 chapters/9 volumes so far by the way!

A female and male meet each other and learn about enjoying the outdoors. Eating meals and camping are common in both manga but one is set in high school and one is set in adulthood.

Both give off cozy vibes with some nice art

Both handle the potential pitfalls of a moderately similar pair of leads effectively, in much the same way

Both give off similar vibes from the art style. They are both wholesome and good stories, although Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia does not have as much love-related themes.

Wholesome and domestic yet incredibly hard-hitting stories focused on the lives and developments of a couple where both parties suffer from trauma and/or disorders. Besides showcasing the way those conditions affect the characters' everyday routines, the romance aspect is also handled in a credible, well-established manner through mutual communication, multidimensional character writing and an above-average amount of heartwarming displays of both physical and emotional affection. Prepare your heartstrings.

While the subject matter is incredibly different between the two, I think the growing romance that they both feature brings about similar emotions. Though, I must specify that Buzzy Noise focuses much more on depression and how that affects a grown person, while Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia is a relatively simple High School Romance manga. I mostly connect the two due to a similar feeling, rather than any real similar ideas.

The art style and setting of these mangas are completely different, but both excels at giving an atmospheric experience through its art and the interactions between the main couple that feels natural. If you like one of these manga because of the ambience, I'd recommend reading the other one.

Male MC picks up photography to be with female MC. They both travel around Japan sightseeing for their club activities.

both of the series main similarity is the focus on the main couple about how they develop their relationship by trying to understand each other.
reportRecommended by LeturLefr
both series turn their main gimmick into some real and grounded trauma, both focus entirely on the relationship of the main cast and lastly, both are pretty wholesome romance series.
reportRecommended by LeturLefr
Both series utilize an oddly ethereal tone to heighten strong emotional moments. Their subject matter may diverge a little, but the choice of setting along with the Japanese High School Romance give both of them a vaguely similar vibe
