At first glance, this reminded me strongly of "My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness" and its sequel - both are autobiographical manga about deeply personal, societally taboo topics (though this manga isn't about anything exceptionally societally taboo per se, just untalked about). Both covers prominently feature flat, character-focused illustrations with an emphasis on minimal color usage, striking typography, and overall minimalism. Suffice to say, this book isn't about being a lonely, depressed lesbian, but a lonely, depressed married straight woman.

I picked this up at a bookstore one day and thumbed through it intending to see if it was similar to My Lesbian Experience at all, ... only to spend almost a half hour stood there reading it. It's engaging, funny, compelling, and makes fantastic use of the medium of comics and visual art. The main character, Togame, is one you can empathize with readily, but the husband doesn't feel like a 1-D character with no substance, either. Both of them feel like real people - albeit a bit mismatched in sex drive.

While the premise of this manga might sound silly ("I want to have sex but my husband doesn't!"), it takes the silliness and uses it to tell a moving story about Togame and her husband's marriage that doesn't try to sugarcoat anything with platitudes about "true love" or anything like that. And, while it's humorous, it doesn't make light of the struggle Togame, or the readers she later addresses, goes through.

Overall, this is a candid manga about a woman whose husband won't screw her and her frustrations with that issue that lead to introspection on body image, sexuality, and relationships. I'd recommend this to any adult, especially ones in relationships. If you're going through this issue presently, this manga offers comfort that isn't empty laughs or bitterness, and suggests different ways to approach this issue.

That's a mouthful. When first approaching this manga I get many artistic vibes/aspirations that came from, "My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness" it's a short one-shot read. A pleasant surprise, that doesn't have too much going for it though but the art does it wonder.

Husband and wife have sex-less marriage. After trying for a year to start a family, their marriage becomes sex-less. Husband is one-dimensional never wanting sex and wife is the opposite, craving it and doing everything in her power to obtain it. From its five chapters we dive on many approaches from the wife such as improving ... herself and image. In order for her husband to see her in that light. As well as diving into the comedic headspace on her approach of things.

It's an adorable manga that does open, one's eyes on being honest and truthful on speaking on what's on one's mind; when it comes to their partner and their relationship of course. Highly suggest on giving it a read despite my score. It just doesn't hold much weight to me personally and I can't vouch a higher a score being that it's so short and one-dimensional.

This was a very lighthearted and sweet manga, the author was very funny and honest about the things she was thinking while she was navigating through this problem.

I know the story is from her true personal experiences but i couldnt stop thinking that the conflict was not talked about enough in the end- I would have loved if the husband recognized that it was a couple's problem and took her seriously sooner instead of putting falsely the blame on her weight or her looks, but besides that it was really cute and i would reccomend this if you want a wholesome short manga for laughs!

The ... art was cute and simple, some would call "effortless" but i think it's just not detailed as it was previously a Pixiv comic made for hobby and it matches the style of the comedy and plot very well.

In summary, no that deep of a manga, doesn't dive in deep to the themes and the characters are more onedimensional but super cute, does exactly what it wants to do!
