Synopsis

Driven by spite after being told she could not achieve greatness as a woman, Tanya Artemiciov relentlessly trained to finally become a mage. But five years later, her friend kicks her out of their party for the same reason—she dared to be a woman.

To let out her frustrations, Tanya casts destructive spells in a wasteland, until a mysterious woman presents herself before her. Tanya learns that the woman—introduced as Laplace—belongs to a magical class of sorceresses, heard of only in whispers, and was sealed away three hundred years ago, freed by Tanya's ruinous rampage.

After an intricate game, Tanya confirms Laplace's identity, and the two women shunned by society team-up. For their own reasons, the newly established duo decides to engage in the upcoming Adventurers' Sparring Tournament, where strong parties clash in the ultimate test of strength. As more secrets bubble to the surface, the girls' chaotic journey takes off, starting with Tanya's fitting vengeance.

Preliminary (10/22 eps)
At one point, certain Japanese Medical school began deliberately lowering entrance exam scores for female applicants. This was because they seemed to be under the impression, that these young women wouldn't be doctors for very long, as they get married and leave their jobs.....*vomits at the words she just wrote*

Author Ameko Kaeruda discovered this, and was rather enraged, so she went on to write the Web Novel turned Light Novel, Sexiled, though I think a better name would be Lilliam, as it fits the story pretty well, and a lot of people will in fact, be confused by the title: Sexiled.

Tanya is a hot-headed young ...

Mixed Feelings
A decent story held back by its overbearing message.

**Plot**

The plot itself isn't really anything new or unique. There's some cool and sweet scenes, but every single male in the story is so comically sexist that it gets stale pretty quickly. The intentions are good, but it just brings the story down more than it does inspire. The group go somewhere or meets someone and the issue is always some dude being hyper sexist.

In the end your left with just a bland story that feels a bit stuck on repeat for every single scenario. Not terrible by any means, but just wholly mediocre.

Honestly, the first volume wasn't bad and I thought it had some potential but the second was absurdly over the top and not worth reading.

The problem is there is no other content outside of the sexism. They just go from one absurd bit of sexist behavior to the next. The characters are all utterly one dimensional. Every male in the story, regardless of their role, is ...
