No spoilers just feelings.

A story, the purpose of a good story is to invoke emotions within a reader. You might read a lot of negative reviews that relate to the "enjoyment" of the ending. In true essence a story that is different and unique will make you feel emotions that are unimaginable. This story will do that. I have never felt of doing anything similar to this manga, but I have imagined the perspective. At times it is hard to relate to the main character, but do not let this deter you from engaging with this manga.

A good manga is supposed to make you feel ...

+++ you might get a light spoiler but I just wanna explain how I felt while reading this manga+++

I actually enjoyed reading this one for a very dark reason LOL..I mean kudos to the writer if the goal is for me (us) to hate the main lead then she very well succeeded hahahah... also this manga also explores about pretext of what and how to LOVE really.. is forgiveness always the answer.. (its different for everyone that's for sure). This manga is men POV btw.

As soon as I knew about the male leads character I can't stop reading it anymore because I just can't wait ...

Since the author is coming out with a new manga, it was the perfect time to read this manga which is also done by them. Hooo boy, this manga is such a shitshow... get ready folks. Garbage plot, garbage characters, decent/ok art. 3/10.

The plot is about Kyo who leaves his hometown in the countryside to go to school in Tokyo. He maintains a long distanced relationship with his girlfriend. He ends up cheating on his girlfriend with a married woman (who also cheats on her husband).

This manga explores the complexities of loving someone and how people have different ideas of what it's like ... to love based on their experiences. How you can still love someone even though they all have their misgivings and faults. How love is more complex than what's apparent at the surface. What does it truly mean to love someone?

Every major character sucks in this story. Kyo sucks because he thinks it's fine to cheat on his girlfriend then lie to her face while thinking it's fine to have sex with the woman because they don't have feelings for each other. The married woman sucks because she does everything she does to see if her husband actually loves her, yes she cheats because of this reason. Sa-chan dates Kyo in order to get him to fall in love with her aka she's trying to fix him and to no one's surprise she gets hurt herself. The husband of the woman privately invades her life and has her under surveillance to keep track of what she's doing. None of the characters are able to make sane decisions that will strengthen and fix their relationships. Every assumption they make continues to spiral downwards. It never occurred to them that communication is an option, that they could just discuss what they are feeling with their partner. The author does manage to give a backstory to each character to flesh them out and make us understand their motivations for their actions.

The only characters that are decent are Isesaki, Sa-chan's classmate who likes her, and Kyo's high school classmate who has an unrequited love for him. They have a normal idea of what love is like. But I guess the author wanted to write a story with more complex, broken characters.

As we progress throughout the story, characters do go through development. Kyo learns what it's like to truly love someone, Sa-chan learns that there's a limit to how long you can delude yourself thinking that you're truly happy in a relationship and how long you can keep forcing yourself to think everything's fine. The woman and her husband finally communicate after all their nonsensical reasoning and realize that they both love each other.

The development of the characters is great, but the ending completely ruins the story. We get a time skip of Kyo who is now a middle-aged salaryman, he ends up going on this date with this girl. It is revealed that the girl is the daughter of the Kunikidas who is the married couple in this story. So Kyo cheated with the wife and is now going to date the daughter? The ending is left ambiguous as he does find out her identity and the father did tell him a few years ago not to go after the daughter since she looks very similar to the mother. So we can't assume he will go on to marry the daughter. The last chapter should not have been added as it doesn't contribute to the story at all. The only purpose the last chapter serves was to give a consequence to the wife cheating on her husband and the punishment is that Kyo could potentially be ruining the family again by starting a relationship with their daughter. Would have been a 5/10 if it wasn't for the ending.

The art is decent but inconsistent at some parts. It manages to have a beautiful feel and eyes especially are well-drawn. The art does add to the atmosphere of scenes and expressions can be well done. It also manages to have a distinct style as well if we compare it to other romance mangas.

Overall, this story is short but is completely ruined by a garbage ending saying that people don't really change and by sending a bitter message to the audience. As well as having characters that are selfish and only think for themselves.
