Synopsis

Being acutely ill, a young girl has spent most of her life in a hospital room playing otome games to fill her time. However, she one day finds herself in the midst of a scene from one of these games as the story's villainess, Aileen Lauren Dautriche.

At the banquet to celebrate the end of the academy's winter term, the crown prince and Aileen's childhood friend, Cedric Jeanne Elmir, publicly annuls his engagement with Aileen and announces that he is in love with Lilia Rainworth, the game's female protagonist. Aware of the tragic future ahead of her and determined to change it, the young girl resolves to conquer the game's final boss, the "Demon King" and Cedric's half-brother, Claude Jeanne Elmir, by making him fall in love with her instead.

With time running out, can Irene succeed with her plans, or will she remain bound to the ill-fated ending that awaits her?

The story is the usual with villainess trope, our MC getting isekai'd and trying to avoid red flags. The character designs are amazing and I loved the art. The MC is blunt, funny and cute. The male lead is great too, the side characters are not detailly written given the length of the story. The downside is some parts were rushed, especially the ending. Also it's really short so it might not stay in your mind for a long time. Still, it's a good read if you don't have time or just want to relax and not think deeply.

first time writing a review; overall simple, short and sweet which didn't drag on unnecessarily.

1. story - 8/10 easy to follow and had pretty good build ups to the climax points. of course, some things weren't fully fleshed out given the length of it
2. art - 10/10 beautiful character designs, settings and art style that made it very pleasing to read. it also wasn't hard to distinguish between characters and very clear who was who
3. characters - 8/10 wish that the relationships between the characters could have been developed more - especially the romance portion

While it is a cute story, it's just a little too short to really flesh out any of the characters properly or make the romance feel like it progressed naturally. The title was very promising but it didn't feel like it really lived up to it because the romance aspect of the story felt very sparse in comparison to the more villainess-y side of the plot, however both sides of the plot felt slightly lackluster because of the lack of depth to anything really.
