A normal human girl entering a monster/beast school. Although in Love Monster, the lead is revealed to be half monster/half human.

Similar guy and girl protagonists - the guy is cool and aloof and the girl is dense and clumsy. The guy is best friends with a blondie and both guys end up liking the girl. The main guy treats the girl badly but blondie is very friendly. The girl only realises her feelings later in the story.

Both series explore the taboo nature of humans interacting with a different being. In the case of Hana to Akuma, it explores the relationship between humans and demons, while Monokuro Shounen Shoujo explores the relationship between humans and beasts. The female and male leads are very similar in personalities and appearances. The overall tone of both manga are also the same. With that said, the two series are similar enough to resemble each other, but are different at a lot points. You definitely won't feel like you're reading Hana to Akuma a second time. But if you liked the tone and characters in Hana to  read more

The people are animals who in some way end up naked at the end of the day, they seemly are in a concentrated area and go to school. The main girl is an orphan who being abandoned by the rest of the world is taken in by animals. She falls for a Tundere cat who doesn't show affection very well and the other guy who likes her is more mild mannered. Problematic family members arise and try to get in the way of a budding friendship turning relationship.

It's similar because the main girl character in the beginning are put in this situation they can't refuse and have to deal with a rude guy. They begin not liking each other; Calling each other names especially the boys lol. Then later on fall for each other after complications(drama) :P plus the main boy characters both share a stubborn attitude towards their feelings.....and I think the story well be interesting along the run.

The genres are a little different from each others, one is a shoujo manga and the other a yaoi manga. Still both mangas is about a human entering a prestigious school for vampires/beasts. The human has to teach the students to blend in with the human society along with avoiding being eaten by the vampires/beasts. Some romance is also present.
