Synopsis

Since long ago, there have been two separate worlds—Earth as known by humans, and Metamoor, where spirits and fantastic creatures reside. Due to Metamoor's power-hungry ruler, Prince Phobos, a veil between the two planets was created to prevent him from infiltrating Earth. Watching over them is a council of powerful spirits from Kandrakar, a realm located between the two worlds. However, the veil has begun to weaken, leaving the council to rely on the arrival of the legendary Guardians of Kandrakar.

Meanwhile, on Earth, 14-year-old Wilhelmina "Will" Vandom has recently moved to the city of Heatherfield. Following the strange occurrences starting from her arrival all the way up to her new school's Halloween party, Will soon learns that she has been chosen as the leader of the new Guardians of Kandrakar and is given a mystical crystal, the Heart of Kandrakar. As for her fellow Guardians, they happen to be her schoolmates at Sheffield Institute, each possessing a natural affinity with the elements of water, fire, earth, and wind. These are Irma Lair, Taranee Cook, Cornelia Hale, and Hay Lin, respectively.

Together, these five girls form the group "W.I.T.C.H."—will they be able to protect the Earth from Prince Phobos' schemes?

Giving this series a 10 might seem like I overated this, but there is a reason for this.

The manga specifically for this series has beautiful art, and alot of potential, however sadly it wasn't continued onwards, and here's why.

This was originally a comic in Italy, which later on received it's own animated series as welll. This most likely was why the manga wasn't continued because the Italian comic was enough for them...even though I find that a lame excuse because a manga version of this still could have been great on it's own.

However in regards to the story of what this manga was supposed read more

I may be a bit biased when it comes to W.I.T.C.H
The comic that was first produced in Italy, by Disney (made by Elisabetta Gnone) in 2001, 15 years ago as of now, was a great comic for both children and young teenagers, I myself was about to turn 16, and I have loved it from the moment I layed my eyes on the comic.

It is clear that the original Italian comic had influences from anime and manga, they even included cameos such as a Sailor Moon figure in one panel (Usagi and Naru also made cameos in the later tv-show.)

However, this is about the read more
