Kobiyama is a very enjoyable and comedic series. The strength of this comedy series is that it plays off of an insane premise - that everybody in this story looks like a One Piece character. The jokes are whacky, and they land just right. I found myself chuckling out loud as I thumbed through the tankobon issue frequently, it is so amusing of a premise, and it is used to it's maximum enjoyment.
Of course, the series has little to do with actual plot, so do not be expecting any massive Epic tearjerker. It is simply a rather amusing light comedy, which has yet to wear
