Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai is one of my favourite manga of all time. So naturally, when I heard that there was an official doujin, I simply could not not read it. And I do not regret it a single bit.
The story in Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Doujin-ban is crazy to say the least. Initially, I thought that this manga would simply be the usual daily life shenanigans of the characters of Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai with a lot of ecchi scenes. However, that ended up not being the case, and it started bringing the characters into alternate timelines, where they aren't the high school students we all know.

To put it simply, Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Doujin-ban has an incredibly crazy story. By bringing characters we know from the main series into situations that would be impossible in the parent manga, Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Doujin-ban creates a story that's fun and hilarious for people who loved the original. However, it is also important to note that I did not enjoy some of the stories in this manga. There were some that I really loved, and others that I just thought were fine, although I loved the majority of the chapters. In other words, the story can sometimes be inconsistent in quality.
The art in this manga is very good. The characters are drawn properly and the author finds remarkable ways to draw the characters as different versions of themselves, which is both hilarious and creative. Obviously, I do not wish to spoil how the author draws the characters as different versions. But I'll just say that for some characters, simply looking at them was able to pull a few laughs from me.
Surprisingly, the characters in Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Doujin-ban are quite faithful to those of the original series. And that can only mean that the characters in this manga are absolutely fantastic. Accompanied by the fact that many characters are different versions of themselves, I was quite impressed at how the characters acted in ways that would be natural for them. The characters were fun and hilarious, and were the main part that made this manga so fun.
I definitely enjoyed Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Doujin-ban. As mentioned above, Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai is one of my favourite manga. As someone who enjoys the original manga, I really liked reading through this manga, bringing all the characters I loved and telling parody stories about them. I highly recommend you to check this manga out if you're a fan of Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai. You are sure to have a fun time reading the crazy stories this manga has to offer.
