Berserk of Gluttony, a manga that has reach with the Seven Deadly Sins and elements from Berserk yet don't at the same time.

Story: 9/10
The premise for characters that undergo a life-changing transformation from weak to overpowered has always excited me, Berserk of Gluttony is no exception. MC, Fate Graphite is a commoner that serves under abusive Holy Knights by taking shifts gate-keeping and earning (supposedly slightly above 2 silvers per year ~ I'd estimate around USD$150-200.00) His powers mysteriously awaken and are enhanced when he finds a 'broken' sword dubbed 'Greed'. Fate begins his journey helping his master survive the treacherous lands of a ... war-torn kingdom.
(or something like that, the story is much better than what I'm describing)

The story is eerily similar to the basic elements of Solo Leveling where MC receives life-changing powers that make him go from trash to invincible in a span of 3-5 chapters (or 1 episode) I live for OPMC so my opinion on the story is extremely positive and I'm loving it so far (despite being around 20 chapters in) So far, the story has been promising as well as the smoothly-paced journey MC sets out on with Myne.

Art: 8/10
For a Manga, the text layout and comic strips are very clean, they aren't cluttered with small hard-to-read speech bubbles or art. I am pleased with the detail of it also despite not being designed for online scanning.

Character: 8/10
I have praised this manga well, but I feel that the manga's downsides lie with character development. 20 chapters in and I'm feeling the character development around chapters 1-5 are paced very slowly - I'd understand the premise of trying to get a feel for the mood of the manga before diving into it but characters have pretty much already been established by chapter 2 except for Myne. Nonetheless, exceptional character development, I can't judge too much for being so early into the manga.

Overall: 9/10
I'm pleased with the manga overall, it seems like a promising story with a satisfying character palette - no harem (so far), minimal ecchi and fight scenes are badass. (Seeing crown monsters with 2M+ stats is so satisfying because you know Fate Graphite is going to absorb everything and destroy anything in his path to cure his hunger. Can't wait for more :)

I find the story line more on the unique side as its about fate(the main character)and hes born with the gluttony ability and he struggles to keep his ability in control as he always needs to feed it or it will eat him.

all people born in that world have skills/abilities they are born with and if you get a weak ability your looked down on by society and basically get bullied
this is not set in modern era, its more old timely i guess as the technology is not very advanced.

the wording of the story could be better or at least the English translation ... could as i dont know how good the raw edits are, but the way its worded seems kinda like a beginner writer, not that i can say anything.

art: 7/10
i find the art good as i think the character design and outfit for fate is more original but the character style for the myne, and roxy especially dont seem that original, i read this on mangago.me and people say her outfit looks like asuna from SAO. but in general the art it self its pretty good.

character:
the main character fates personality seem more generic as its a guy who tired of being protected by other people and wants to be the one protecting
i do think myne has the best personality as she has secrets and shes lonely, idk how to describe it.

enjoyment: 9/10
i loved reading it its great, it only gets a 9 since re-reading it doesnt fill me with as much excitement as reading it the first time

overall: 8/10
its definitely one of my favorite mangas, and its a good manga to read if your have spare time or looking or something new.

Generic with a capital "G." The enemies are so boring and you start to lose interest in all of the characters eventually. The only redeeming feature is that it's a somewhat okay power fantasy because there are impressive displays of magic and the art isn't bad.

Everything begins and ends with the protagonist gaining power. Everything in the story, what little there is, is to literally and figuratively feed his power. The writer seems to realize this towards chapter 37, and justifies it by literally making the MC say "I'm different because I have friends to stop me", but by this time I had no interest ... in any of the characters because they weren't developed, just pawns to move the MC around.

The enemy encounters are never fun because all of the battles are solved by pulling some BS power surge out of nowhere. There are no rules to the MC's powers, despite the story centering around and insisting that there are. There is no strategy to any of the battles.
