This manga is funny and cute, seeing a female tomboy blushing is a high reward itslef, never get bored, but this manga goes further, she has a lot of scars because of her fights, but her romantic interest doens't care about this (this is very beatiful and has a deep meaning for me), and always care about her, it is lovely seeing both interating, like snaping in afternoon or taking trainning

It is clean, no much dialoges, so u can read really fast and don't get bored

Female leader, Leo is a 10/10: cute, funny, strong and with a nice background history, it is everything u want from a girl in a romcom and never get, but the male MC, Fooly, has a lot to improve, like everything, with 0 background. He love abs and love her, and that is about it.
The manga has an dark elf and an imouto of the male leader, and they are good adiction for the manga

Just read the first 2 chapters, then after that you can watch any other chapter in any order. That's because there is virtually no progress ever in the story. You don't have to worry about spoilers... Boy confesses to female knight and joins her questing party, but for all 55+ chapters after, their relationship stays in a limbo state and the female knight never truly responds to his feelings.

Art: 8
Well, if you're reading this you're probably into fit girls or girls with abs. The art gets the job done, at least.

Character: 3
Everybody is predictable and their personalities stay the same. The main character ... only talks about and thinks about the knight, and we never know his background. The female knight always gets flustered when the dude does anything romantic but she never commits. Then she gets extremely mad and jealous when he talks to other girls but refuses to admit it. Repeat for 55+ chapters and you get this manga.

Well I have to admit I started reading this because of the girl, but halfway through the whole manga I realized it was the same crap over and over again. So I'm putting this manga on hold until the knight actually does respond to his feelings (or rejecting him). The slice of life filler isn't worth your time.

I finished reading all the 134 chapters today, and my God, I don't regret spending all the hours on my bed reading this gem.

There are manga which have detailed plots, extraordinary characters and breathtaking art, but How to Treat a Lady Knight Right(I'm using the English name sorry, the Japanese one was a little too long), has nothing of that sort but I still enjoyed it a lot. Why?

Because it's just soo damn funny and cute. The story of How to Treat a Lady Knight Right follows about a female knight Leo, who has been revered as the strongest of all and gas been treated ... as a fearsome man because of her strength and demeanor, but that changes when Fooly, a mage confesses his love for her. What follows is a hilarious account of their adventures. They make new friends and acquaintances along the way and finally fight the Demon King... wait doesn't this kinda sound the same as a lot other manga?

That's where How to Treat a Lady Knight Right differs from the rest. While the story is nothing to remember, it's the comic timings and cuteness that separates this from everything similar.

The art is very good, specially the character details. I really appreciate the length the mangaka went to detail the females and their assets. No complaints here. Also those abs, God, if only I could have a bit of them...sigh

The enjoyment is a solid 9/10. Seriously, the comedy is excellent. Almost like Konosuba, and at times better. And the cuteness, my God, instant diabetes material. Makes single weebs like us want a girlfriend asap.

Overall? Just read it. Take some precious ~5 hours out of your boring schedule and read this. I assure you, you'll feel blessed after the hours spent. God bless this manga, the cuteness, the mangaka and yes, the abs.

This is actually way more disappointing than it should.

Don't expect anything beyond the manga's attempt to present you the fetishes in the most boring and cliched way possible. There is no real nuance even with its main forte, and every other aspects of the series is as bland as it can get. Every chapter is structured the same way, and almost every attempt at progressing the relationships gets written off as a joke instead, so you won't get anything meaningful with its "fluffy" elements and romance either.

Art looks decent and easy to read, the character designs are some nice eye candy and you can ... probably get a good meat beating out of it, but it's overall nothing special in terms of detail and sense of space.

At the end of the day it's nothing more than a fetish manga really, so if you are into this type of content you can probably give it a go. Despite starting off with a single fetish, it has been expanding itself as well, though the "muscle girl" is still the focal point.

There is none at the very least I'm talking about progression. Basically everything is established by chapter 1 or might be even 2 and if it weren't for new characters who are introduced later then you could open any chapter and read it, because you won't spoil a single thing.

Not bad details, gonna say i think i might have fallen in love in those ABS....Now humor aside art is fairly good here characters are drawn to be likeable, background nothing special (since i already don't remember it) as for panel placement and bubble placement, VERY GOOD since it is readable and didn't irritate ... my eyes.

Well characters are basically taken as standard manga/anime stereotypes we have tsundere, harem boy(does things to make females fall for him but doesn't understand it, yet this one proclaimed his love interest), oppai loli sister with brother complex, mature cock-tease and last but not least shy anti social one. Character backgrounds are mostly mystery besides female knights since world spins around her.

To be fair i enjoyed it, but after reading and brooding for a bit i kinda understood one thing it is one of those never ending mangas where it will only end when manga sales will drop and then we might see 1 or 2 chapters where they marry or kiss and establish real relationships. So genre seinen is a lie i would give it shounen, romance is mostly one sided with tsundere reaction (WAS ok first few times grows tiresome, especially when female knight has been already told dead right that she should open up or else....). So if you aren't a brooding type enjoyment will be good but do not brood or overthink about series.

Nothing special and my brooding made me rate this series lower since you shouldn't over think about this series simply turn off your brain and enjoy if not you will start to have this peculiar feeling of annoyance for female knight and feeling of shame for magician (this dude doesn't have a speck of self dignity....love i guess but it is more like a fan boy in love in virgin idol than romantic love where 2 hearts intertwine since female knight is god of tsundere).

This isn't the best manga I've ever read. The chapters are short, the story is basic and the characters' goals are very simple. And you know what, it's okay. I didn't come to this comic expecting anything grand, it's just the story of a guy who fell in love with a woman mainly because of her abs.

Leo is strong, has a cute side and is learning to love herself and being loved, and that's it. Fooly If you want to give a time for any other manga with more story focus, that's a good one to give you some time to relax. It's just ... fun, light hearted, silly romantic comedy with a actual decent ending, and by decent i mean that it don't made me mad.

When it comes to short comedy manga then ,,How to Treat a Lady Knight Right" is one of my favourite ones. Despite the premise being rather simple the execution is very good and it's a joy to read. So if you're looking for some short cute romance manga then boy oh boy I've got a thing for you.
Plot
For most of the manga the plot is nearly non-existent, the main story is about a romance between Fooly and Leo but apart from that there's really not a lot going on. In the last parts of the manga there is an bigger thematic arc but it's really ... not that interesting. The thing is that this manga works without having a plot, it's mainly about seeing how characters react to a lot of fun scenarios and the manga really delivers on that aspect. If you're looking for a deep story with interesting themes and characters then this one is not for you but if you're down for short cute harem story then don't hesitate to give this one a shot.
Characters
The characters are this mangas main strenght, most of them are really one dimensional and their character could be explained in one sentence but they play off each other well and that's what matter. Each character offers a different experience so you'll definitely like at least few of them. Obviously the most interesting ones are Leo and Fooly who's relationship is adorable to watch and it never gets boring.
The art
Since each chapter is only 8 pages long there's really no place for the author to shine but one thing could be said, it's consistent what's supposed to look well looks well but not much stands out. The characters are well designed and all of the important one are easily recognizable but that's about it, there's nothing that would make you want too look for all of the hidden nuances that the author had putten there. Obviously much care has been put into abs' design so they look really well and given that we see quite a few of them you should be satisfied.
Overall it's a really fun story, desptie being short I'll have really fond memories of it. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

This ended up being a disappointment more than I thought.
It forced itself to have a serious plot in the end, but it didn't work since... it's a comedy. It's not supposed to be serious.
Also, a lot happened without explanation. Like, you have that 131 chapters and you can't even explain shit??? Not even being a comedy can save it.

Moving on,
Characters are forgettable af, and they aren't even likable. Except for Helga btw. She cute. But other than her, the cast is pretty damn unnecessary. They introduce characters just for them to never do anything at all. The main characters are so weak. They have their ... development? But it is so cringe-ly done that I won't even accept it as development.

Art is decent. It's on the rough side since the "action" panels are so d*mn unreadable. I can't understand half the shit the characters do or how the f*ck did they ended up in that position.

Enjoyment is also decent. My immersion was broken in the last few chapters since... there was no tension at all. I gave it 4 since I laughed at the first few chapters. If it wasn't for that, then this would be lower.

Overall, it's a disappointment. I wished it continued being a comedy rather than having an actual plot.

If you're looking for a good laugh, "Imamade Ichido mo Onnaatsukai sareta Koto ga Nai Onna Kishi wo Onnaatsukai suru Manga" is not the manga for you! Unless your REALLY REALLY INTO ABS. THIGH CRUNK, BENCH PRESS, SITUPS AND PUSHUPS ALL DAY EVERYDAY with this series. Its a alright little adv romance but the gimmick wears thin really fast. It picks up at the end, but only read this again if YOUR DYING FOR SOME RED HOT WORKOUT MOTIVATION. I can almost hear the sigma male music with this one

A lot of people reviewed this WAAY too early. It's by no means a masterpiece but it's a cute and fun palette cleanser with some quirky humour. If it awakens any muscle fetish in you- well that's on you not the manga.

Small amount of pages means no wasted time on fluff but given enough time all characters get a measure of progression and backstory. Art style is fine, better than any web comic but nothing to brag about either. Characters are fun and light-hearted. Great in small bursts in between harsher and darker shows/manga.

In what seems to be the final arc, the stakes ... are high and the characters' relationship seems to be close as it can to it's final stages.

Anyone looking for something easy to read and fun should give this one a read. It will likely be finished in less than a year from this review so here's to a good ending.

I'm just getting started with this so this is really a first impression of the first several chapters or so....
I've got a thing for athletic women, so that got my attention. Getting into it, it is laying out like it's being "Monte Pythons Holy Grail" with gender reversal but a romance tale. It's trying hard to not be corny, while at the same time trying very hard TO be corny. Another reviewer mentioned this being a self-aware parody of the fantasy romance genre, and I can see it going that way, but I'm not quite deep enough, yet.
I, for one, am looking ... forware to some light hearted romantic goofyness.

While my stupid Sky Internet is down at the moment, I came across this manga as I have seen it at some points so I gave it a shot. First of all, it was good at first because we get to see a muscular heroine for once. However I can't tell you how many times she blushes everytime ML admits his love for her. I just find it rather distracting on what the goal actually was here and I felt ML was rather too young for her. I get they are teens but I just find they aren't personally a good match. Even the fan ... service was a literal overkill.

The art was fine like the girls are cute don't get me wrong, it's just again, the ML just looked too young and would've worked as a side character.

I would not say that is the perfect history, but I enjoyed a lot reading. After spending hours reading it, I reached a conclusion that I must identified myself with some characters.

Also I found that the variety of characters is something that really made this really awesome to read and enjoy, the fact that those personalities are either strong and simple, make it easier to understand the character's feelings and can possibly, as I said earlier, make you identify yourself with someone.

I do not know how suspicious I'm to talk about the art, but I found it really enjoyable and easy to understand ... what happens on the scene, anyway it is a great work indeed.

To finish, in the overall this story is very narrowed to a specific type of people since it's genre is not something that everyone could like or enjoy, but for who enjoys that type of stories, have fun reading it.

Gag romance manga has many ways to go. Focus on comedy, weekly, a fun fair, or a simple snack to enjoy throughout the day. Focus on story, a changing narrative that develops a romance gradually, it isn't just about the ending explosion, but about building something special; as well as other good ways. This was just excessive.

Story:
This is one of THE gag manga out there. A one-trick pony, a repetitive, slightly fetishistic, and wholesome joke that's repeated around one hundred times. After a long pause from the manga, I thought I could go back, finish it, and find the gags fresh again. I miscalculated. ... It's a story that uses the same “abs are sexy” joke that I ended up hating by the end. It's a tale that tries to develop the characters a lot, adding motives, stakes, and a small “bomb under the table” plot point. However, it ruins its own plot by… well… not caring. It reversed everything for a happy ending that shouldn't be bad in itself, but since it comes from a well established road to a bad end, I hated it. A literal Deus Ex Machina, creating a stupid ending.

Characters:
It's interesting how there's such a big cast of characters. Loads of people are introduced into the story to serve for more gags about the same thing, while making small cameos later in the story. I guess I can give it some props since it doesn't really waste them, it's just an excess of characters used for the same thing or to give more of a motive for the main couple to experience drama. You're gonna like the main couple, but every conflict they go through is just fake. We know they're gonna go back in the stupidest ways, or how the plot is all about trying to pull them apart and just doing the reverse for the fun of it. Nice characters, and well-used for the end, but the middle of that is just dead time. At least the art is fine.

Art:
The pouts, the love expressions, the uh… anatomy of the characters. It's probably what attracts the audience in general. If you're gonna enjoy something, it's how visually cute it tries to be. Sure, it works, and the art in other elements isn't actually that bad. The fight scenes are strangely easy to follow, even if it isn't that dynamic. The author doesn't cut corners to show impact on some hits. Zooms out, shows damage on areas, it's easy to get a scale of power just from the visuals, so, hey, that's pretty nice.

I couldn't say that all the parts made a good whole. It's a story I really don't like. Gag manga can be good. Some of them create a story around that gag, and evolve the characters around that gag to make a fun world. This manga couldn't do it for me, and even if you love those panels that show bodies, it isn't enough to keep you going. If there isn't a drive to finish the story, why should you?

4.5/10, at least every chapter is just 6 pages or something around it. If you're still interested, don't binge it, just read a small amount until you get slightly tired, then you can give it time to get fun again.

Imma be honest, this manga was dumb, but it was the good kind of dumb. Leo, the Sacred Sword who has never been treated as a woman meets Fooly Dent, an ab obsessed dude who is completely in love with her. I wasn't expecting much out of this series because of how dumb the title sounded, but it was a surprisingly fun ride! The main reason to read this is for the absolute dumbfuckery that Leo and Fooly get up to along with the rest of the characters. Leo gets pulled underground by a goddamn mole, Fooly accidentally genderswaps his and Leo's gender, a royal ... guard from the capital becoming obsessed with Fooly to the point where she wants to become his slave (I'm not fucking kidding). Oh and let's not forget how towards the end Fooly's master shows up just to switch his physical form back to when he was 8 years old and proceed to BORDERLINE GROPE HIM!!! Thankfully the whole 'shotacon master' thingy only lasts for about 3-4 chapters, but it still gets points deducted for the weirdness, but then again this manga is weird all around. Oh yeah and there's a fucking ab god at the end of the series that can blow a hole through a fucking mountain because of how horny abs make Fooly. ... Please don't ask. I can't make sense of it either. In the end, this series is very fucking stupid, but stupid in the charming way. If you've been looking for a shorter manga to binge over the weekend, I recommend giving this one a shot! The chapters are short, the artstyle is super cute, and the general tomfoolery is sure to put a smile on your face!

(Seriously though, the shotacon chapters pissed me the fuck off)

tl;dr: A manga with a mediocre romance and some pretty solid comedy here and there, though the core of the manga is very much abs.

This manga is about a male mage named Fooly that falls in love with the female knight named Leo, heavily in part due to him having an abs fetish and her having amazing abs. Leo doesn’t think of herself as womanly and thus finds her ever being involved in a romance ridiculous, but Fooly remains undeterred and becomes her party member. The vast majority of the manga is really short chapters centered around Fooly being obsessed with abs and Leo being ... a tsundere that doesn’t want to admit that she’s actually happy that a guy is confessing to her.

With that said, it’s not like Fooly solely loves her for her abs, as can be seen in that various other women including those with great abs fall in love with him and pursue him, but he turns them all down due to his love for Leo. Leo gets violently jealous over the other women liking him and often tries to get them to back off but does so in such a way that she doesn’t express she’s in love with Fooly. The comedy that arises from this is the core of the manga, and due to how short each chapter is and how many chapters there are, it can get quite repetitive. It tries to throw in things to change things up, but even when they start out going in a different direction they pretty much end like they always have eventually, such as with Melvie.

The plot is pretty minimal. Leo and Fooly go on various quests to defeat demons or duel other adventurers, but Leo is the nation’s strongest knight and can take out pretty much every threat pretty easily, and thus the battles only really matter to show off how she’s emotionally unstable due to something related to Fooly, sometimes making her even stronger and sometimes making her weaker. Fooly himself is also incredibly powerful, perhaps even more powerful than Leo. However, his powers are only fully awakened when he gets to indulge in his abs fetish, so his combat is also pretty much entirely just for comedic purposes.

The last arc tries to give more depth to both Fooly’s powers and Leo’s character arc, but I don’t feel that either worked all that well as neither was built up to properly. One of the side characters, Helga, gets some character development over the course of the series, but outside of that none of the side character’s get any development either. The ending is pretty much a generic ending for a manga like this, and is as good as one can get for a manga like this, though I don’t think the manga was able to build up strong enough investment in Fooly and Leo’s relationship for it to be all that powerful.

The art is okay. It gets the job done in regards to the story it’s trying to tell though quality wise I’d say it’s on the somewhat lower end of things. It is very strongly centered around abs however, both from a character design and fanservice perspective. If you aren’t into abs this will do nothing for you.

For those that are looking for a lighthearted romcom—provide good laughs, and avoid overcomplicated plots that demand full attention—if those are things that you are looking for, then this story is for you. Follow this journey through small chapters that showcase the personal growth of the Lady Knight and the leisurely and endearing development of the relationship between Fooley Dent (the ultimate romantic, monogamy addict, and abs fiend) and Leo Cornelia (BEST ABS).

While the primary focus is unquestionably the growth of our main couple’s relationship. We experience their love unfolding through Leo’s perspective because on Fooley’s side of things his feelings are conveyed and remain ... unchanged and steadfast from the outset. Thus reframing the story to focus on the ‘Strongest Female Knight’ overcoming her traumas and mental scars.

Gradually introduced, the supporting cast as a whole receive relatively little attention throughout the plot. Generally likable, these characters usually orbit around Fooley, who’s acting as a liaison to Leo, given that she struggles with social interactions. These minor characters go through changes and are somewhat developed as well, but these events that do happen are too few and far between, and are not the central focus of the story.

Unfortunately, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, the entire story takes place in a single city that's never fully-fledged. The world suffers from the same issue. In the end it’s the same western fantastical medieval city interpreted through a Japanese lens, akin to the thousands of generic isekai worlds in fantasy lands. Towards the end, the lack of an overall plot arc comes to bite this story in its rear end, the narrative seems adrift, poorly explained situations arise, with loosely connected arcs insufficient to maintain a cohesive story.

In the end, I came away with a more positive than negative experience. Considering that we are discussing a small manga—only seven volumes—the negative aspects of the plot boil down to just a handful of chapters. Strangely enough, the ending felt abrupt and clichéd, leaving me with the sense that we deserved a couple more chapters. These additional chapters would have allowed us to delve deeper into the lives of our main characters. It was a brief and pleasant journey, allowing me to get to know these characters better. I grew fond of them, and ultimately, it’s a heartwarming and silly story—with some funny moments and others not so much. But what truly matters is that it’s a fun story.

As I'm writing this review I've read up to chapter 126.

This is a very light hearted comedy about a guy who loves strong women and their ABS.

Up until recently, this didn't have a story. Like none at all. The chapters are really short and usually end up in the same 3 punchlines:

1. MC loves Leo

2. Someone is actually a nice person

... 3. MC loves ABS


That's it. That was the story for the first 70 chapters at least.


And then it actually gets some development. And it's ok I guess?


Anyways, it got kinda repetetive about 50 chapters in, but the last few chapters made me wish there were more.


If you don't really need a well developed story or worldbuilding, you can enjoy this.

The power of abs is strong here 😂 its a really funny and cute read. Basically its about a weak (yet OP once he taps in his true power) mage that confesses his love to a powerful knight. Obviously she tells him to beat it, he decides to stay by her, she slowly warms up to him, and yeah that's about it.
Development is a bit slow but as the story goes on she developes feelings, and becomes a tsundere. There is harem but isn't too bad, lots of funny moments, support characters are funny, some do go a bit far but its good. Also ... abs 👌👌 wish the fighting picks up more, there is combat but just a few here and there. Still good read, highly recommend.
