Shiba-kun to Shepherd-san is an adorable and wholseome Boy's Love Manga that is a short and pleasant read.
The story deals with the uke Shibamoto who works at a supermarket and always looks forward to meeting the german shepherd of a certain customer that often comes to visit. He eventually finds out that him and the owner of the dog (Inukai, the seme) study at the same university and they end up becoming friends. Things develop from there~
The story has typical Boys Love chlichees and mostly deals with the development of their relationship, emotional and physical. It is light-hearted and cute with the use of

some light comedy. No deep drama or heartbreak in this.
The characters Shibamoto and Inukai are rather typical Boys Love characters, with the serious and stern looking seme and the cute, girly and shy uke. While Shibamoto is officially an 18-year old he does look rather young and even act childish at some points so Shota-lovers are welcome here.
The art style isn't anything extraordinary but it's definetely pleasant to look at. It's rather simple and soft, no exaggerated shoulders or yaoi hands. Only the dog may look goofy at times.
While the german shepherd is introduced as a way to connect the two characters in the beginning he also stays an important character throughout the story and accomapnies both of them on their journey.
All in all this is a lovely, fluffy read and good for anyone that's looking for a short, wholesome read with a cute animal sidekick and a shota uke.
