Studious and strong-willed An Kele has always tried to live her life unswayed by others, preferring to judge people with her own eyes. Due to her mother working overseas, she moves in with her aunt and soon encounters a handsome host named Yan Shu. Though fascinated by him, she is determined to work hard in school and be noticed by her upperclassman, Bai Yiran.

Unbeknownst to An Kele, the name "Yan Shu" is just an alias of her classmate Ye Ling, who moonlights as a host to alleviate the crippling debt left behind by his absconded father. While Yan Shu charms with his confident smile and silver tongue, Ye Ling is a brooding school truant—the type of person that the diligent An Kele can't help but dislike.

Though their relationship starts off both bitter and sweet, An Kele and Ye Ling find themselves tied together by fate—and so, the duo face each trial and tribulation that comes their way, chasing the bright future that comes with the rising sun.

Not a lot of reviews on this one so I guess I'll write something.

Chao Hua Xi Shi was an enjoyable read if you're looking for something lighthearted and cliche to pass the time after reading Chainsaw Man and Tokyo Ghoul and reminds yourself that's there something meaningful in this world. The story is nothing special, but the art is cute (and the male lead is cute too if that helps).

The female lead is your stereotypical hardworking girl with some family problem (Aren't all romance protagonist and their male lead have family problem?). She is a little bit tsundere, which I like, and isn't all ...

Chasing the Sun is a romance manhua that can be read in 3 hours. Its about a girl named Ke Le and the relationships she builds with her classmates but as well as the handsome host, Yan Shu.

The reason why I believe this story is great is because it doesn't drag on like your average romcom school manga, the characters aren't one dimensional and they have actual depth to them with their own unique backgrounds. Each character has their own issues and problems that shaped them as who they are. The enjoyment of this story comes from the MC developing relationships with her ...

I enjoyed the simplicity of this story. I liked that each character had a reasonably developed backstory which linked well to the main story. I was impressed that this story did not drag, although I felt that some parts near the end of the story could be better developed. Overall though, the pacing of the story was suitable. I was so, so glad that the ending addressed some major questions I had about some characters' backstories.

The art is simple and pretty, as expected of the genre. I noticed certain details about the artwork which gave hints regarding the characters' respective backgrounds. Yes, this added to ...
