Make no mistake: this is a very touching and thoughtful story! Just because it involves cats wearing no pantsu doesn't mean it's just mindless ecchi: it's got feels and funny!
Based on a very old game (which never saw English translation, afaik) Kone Kone Fanshia ...it tells the story of Fancia, who is a cat. She's really just a cat even though she's anthropomorphized in her appearance. It's a human-like depiction of a real cat's life.
It's fun, funny and very touching! Laughing and crying are commonplace. Such a simple concept and so short, it still hits the 'feels' big time.
Studio Rob provides an outstanding translation. The
...
use of 'comic font' is really appropriate! Her over-enunciation and semantics are truly 'spot-on' for both the humour and meaningful dialogue.
This is 10/10 would recommend to everyone. Not a 'world's best' but a fine short series from by-gone days when catgirls could really be catgirls without sex even entering the equation.
