Both manga give a fantastic portrayal of more masculine/older individuals and a wholesome (mostly) atmosphere without too much hassle with the drama.  

Nearly identical plots. A police officer who's in his 30s/40s comes across a young criminal in his early 20s. Instead of arresting him, he shows him mercy and thus begins an unusual relationship between the two. The police officer suffers from a mental trauma from his previous job and it is the younger boy who falls for him first 

A delinquent ends up falling for a man in charge of authority. The latter helps the former in the beginning due to kindness, but eventually, ends up falling for the delinquent himself. 

The two of them share the same theme - a small time criminal finding himself strangely drawn towards an officer of the law. 

A young delinquent boy is picked up by an older man, and forced to work with him (as payback for his rogue lifestyle). It's also this young boy who falls for the older man first.
