A series where a plot is at least ninety percent about food and ten percent of other miscellaneous moments like bandit hunting.
It's hard to describe a series like this since the majority of the plot is only about cooking food outside and enjoying your time with your colleagues while they eat your food. Why is this series like this?
Mell Risurisu, a mediocre looking elf, that something new, leaves the Elf forest so she can live in the city instead since she felt unneeded in the elf community due to the lack of magic. Unsurprisingly, she's very good at cooking food and has knowledge about all

different kind of medicinal plants and other consumable ingredients that grow in the forests. She's otherwise weak but gets the chance to join a squadron of knights as their medic but yet again, unsurprisingly, only the cooking skills are needed due to quite the powerful colleagues. Join in on their quest to eat random stuff in the woods and get the intense one minute of action you've been waiting for.
Reading this, I wonder myself why I'm actually reading this since seriously, nothing exciting happens. We have great characters though that can give you a chuckle or two at some points like for example the captain called Ludtink who looks like a bandit and gets called that by his team sometimes due to his scary facial expressions etc. Otherwise, I don't think there's anything that points out good moments in this series due to the lack of story telling and constant cooking.
Every new volume, we get a character introduction at the beginning which sometimes can be a plus since it's hard to remember them all due to the lack of interesting moments and the delays in my own reading of this series. But this could be something some series need to do sometimes.
Overall, I can't really recommend this series to anyone and only have mixed feelings myself over this series. It's more like a "Meh or Eh" kind of like story. Those who enjoy reading slow life kind of series about cooking and a lot of chatting might honestly enjoy this way more than I do. Which is why I can only give this a small 6/10. It's fine and acceptable but nothing I'd consider good or recommend.
