Both series have smart protagonists involved in crimes who are able to think up intricate plans on the spot. The plots also share mystery and dramatic elements which liken the style of storytelling.

Normal people get caught up with sudden murder, and have quickly tried to cover it up. However, things get complicated and through lots of self doubt they want their misery to end, so they can continue living clean and peacefully.

Two men who have their families endangered by criminals, and they don't hesitate to return the favor even when they could end up hurt. Both are able to cool their heads and think before heading straight into trouble. Due to the reason they want to counterattack those dangerous elements behind the scenes, they form a kind of alias of themselves when they're not with their family, meaning they've got a normal side as well as a vengeful one to protect their loved ones.

murder mystery aspect

my Home hero is about a regular man who becomes a murderer whereas the fable is about a a murderer(a hitman exactly) who wants to become a regular man. My home hero has some good intense moments, with some creative ways to mask a crime while also showing how people will murder for the ones they care for. The fable on the other hand features an interesting, comedic mc, with some overall good action making it lean more to the shonen side compared to my home hero

Similarities: MC's both undergo immense stress of trying to hide their actions and draw suspicion away from them. Both MC's are driven by revenge in order to avenge their family. Differences: My Home Hero is much more intense as it deals with themes of murder while Mitarai-Ke, Enjou Suru has an overall theme of reputation and appearance. My Home Hero also has a male lead while Mitarai-Ke has a female lead.

Both are very suspenseful and full of tension

both are suspense filled thrillers were one wrong move could spell the death of different people (Bastard is mc's classmate while my home hero is MC and his whole family). Both are grounded in reality, so no superpower bs. There isn't really that much action in either they have more suspenseful scenes. But when there is it's done realistically and usually melee combat which is always fun

In both cases there is a storyline that keeps us on the edge of our seat the whole time. The main character constantly finds himself in seemingly impossible situations, and yet he manages to get out of them every time with the help of his intellect.

both have dark psychological themes although my home hero has much more of an intricate plot while the other is more like a compilation of different stories from students
