Synopsis

Upon an isolated island lies a school that houses the future heroes of the world. The student body, composed only of individuals with inhuman powers known as "the Talented," train to eventually eradicate the wicked "Enemies of Humanity" from existence.

The self-proclaimed elite class is introduced to two new transfer students, Kyouya Onodera and Nana Hiiragi. Their classmates enquire about their abilities, and where Kyouya bluntly refuses to share and asks to be left alone, Nana—possessing a natural charm and a supposed talent of mind-reading—enamors the class. Yet despite the class's enthusiasm for her, she herself takes an odd interest in a reclusive student named Nanao Nakajima, who is often bullied for allegedly lacking an actual ability. As Nana warm heartedly grows closer to him, her actions place Nanao in a position he had always dreamed of, even if for just a brief moment...

I have to admit, I'm enjoying this manga, even if I have mixed feelings about horror genre. Actually, this manga is interesting. The story about people with abilities, known as the Talented. I like stories about super powers and all. They were recruited to train in a school on an island to fight against the "Enemies of Humanity". The begining had a plot twist. I thought to myself "Why am I not surprised?". Also, I like the designs of the characters and the art. I love uniforms and I have a liking on fashion too.

And the characters weren't so bad, Nanao Nakajima was a boy read more

if you don't want to read my entire review, here it is summarized: talentless nana is good, you all are just mean.

with everything i read, it's never about some god-like realization i get. it's always enjoyment factor, down to the core of it. talentless nana might not make you a believer, but you're going to love it or i'm going to take you out.

talentless nana, at its core, isn't really about world building. from what i've seen, it's a psychological type of manga, and gives focus on connections. i don't meant to be so vague, but read up until chapter 5 before you make a read more

I'm writing this review in response to the confirmation of the anime adaptation, I was going to post this on that notice but it ended up becoming more of a review and wayyy too long so I decided to post it here.

I have mixed feelings about this.

On one hand I'm a manga reader that has kept up to date with this series, and just as the other reviews of the manga say, the first episode really gets you excited but then after that the story can get a little samey fast. There is little substantial character development that doesn't get... uuuh... to avoid any spoilers read more

[Spoilers Ahead] Short on Purpose

Act 1, The Story & Characters: 8
The story sounds generic, but in reality it really isn't. It starts out like another chosen one story. Monsters come somewhere and reek havoc on earth. Then transfer girl called Nana, who supposedly can read minds, comes in and the first chapter does the obligatory chosen one stuff until the end. Nana kills the boy and said that the ones on the island are the true humanity's end. This was a mind fuck. Absolutely a mind fuck. Nana goes on the quest on killing the students on the island. She is very smart in read more
