Have you ever wished to be someone other than yourself? A person of the opposite gender, a wealthy billionaire or be more athletic.
A second chance in living raises a bunch of opportunities, and allows one to take actions that they may have been unable to do otherwise.
This manga is nothing short of a masterpiece. Through a beautiful introduction, it shows the friendship between two boys, only to have one of them die, not knowing if his friend truly appreciated his efforts. His friend's simple wish, to marry a wife and live an average life, could not be fulfilled with him. So then he becomes
...
a ghost and possess the daughter of a celebrity, trying to suicide under the pressure of her life.
Well that's the synopsis, recapped but it doesn't exactly explain how and why it is a "masterpiece".
Firstly, the characters. As many may agree, characters are the main course of the meal. Without noteworthy and enjoyable characters, it is difficult to construct a good manga. The characters in this story are absolutely fantastic. A girl who actually understands that the ghost possessing her is doing good, a popular playboy who actually has feelings for his friend ( he's in a girl's body so it isn't gay... I guess? ), and a detective who fell in love with the ghost possessed portion of the girl. Their interactions are interesting and help develop the story without boring fanservice and such. Also they are all very lovable ( except for the detective kid, but he's amusing ) and realistic ( if you get past the fact that there are ghosts ).
The story premise, as you've read in the synopsis is really interesting. Possession, romance and the other genres this manga circumspects are very enjoyable. In addition, it takes trite settings such as an amusement park and adds a bit of spice to it. In the amusement park, the ghost actually sets up a date between the girl and his friend to get them closer, while needing to cancel the meeting with the detective. However, the detective is able to figure out that it was actually the ghost but the ghost took over the girl's body... Well you get the point right? Spoiling is really terrible so that's where I'll conclude the story explanation
The art is very pretty and facilitates the enjoying of the manga. No complaints there.
This is one of the most enjoyable manga I have ever read. Sadly I can't find any more chapters so I'll probably buy it online or something. Its romance develops beautifully and cutely.
Overall, as one of my favorite manga, I would say this a must read for people who enjoy romance with a twist. What are you waiting for? Read it!
