I'm surprised there's no reviews because this manga was adorable.
Dear Anneli is a completely clean BL story with no content like gore or assault that you commonly see in BL a lot at times, it's very short and sweet and to the point. The love story itself is very standard though, the two guys meet and they have to live together then it ends with them in a relationship. This is either a good thing or bad thing depending on you but personally I did still enjoy a to-the-point story with no drama.

is a children's story book writer and throughout each chapter a part of his most popular book "Anneli" is read out as the story unfolds. in between each chapter there are also some 4koma esc short comics, not about the main characters but surprisingly their pet Hedgehog who has happened to fall in love with a crow (the hidden meanings behind this hedgehog story is probably pretty obvious)
and as you can tell from looking at the cover, the artwork is VERY stylized and looks great. it fits the story really well, i'd read it for the art alone.
in short, if you're looking for a short BL read with no content warnings then this is perfect for you. i've rarely ever finished a short manga wishing there was more but this is a first in ages for me, but don't except something *too* groundbreaking if you're a veteran looking for obscure manga.
