I had previously read this manga two years ago, when it was initially released, and I thought it was another revenge mc with a harem since those stories were popping back then. I ultimately ended up dropping it because of the slime pet (yes, really) because I thought the mc was invincible due to his stats.

However, part of my issue was the author’s blame because nothing is ever explained in the story and nothing still has been explained. There are a few mentions of what the world is going through and how the heroes’ are needed, but they only occur in the later chapters, approximately ... two years worth of content later. Along with this, some of the characters in the manga are made to be incredibly idealistic and idiotic. I know a revenge manga is supposed to have scum of the earth, obnoxious people but there’s a limit to how bad everyone could be.

Well, after all this bashing, I guess I should appreciate it as well. Though there are some absolutely annoying characters, there are a select few that have a purpose other than to join a harem which is shocking to have nowadays. I can’t clearly explain why I like this more than the similar kind of mangas, but a major factor is from the mc recognizing he has become a scumbag and has to adapt to that persona; another perk is the mc not being a horny bastard. To comment on the art, it’s at the upper echelon as far as revenge mangas go.

Well, that’s about it. It’s very hard for revenge stories to escape from the stereotype of an edgy cringe lord read, but this one isn’t embracing that feeling, perhaps due to the more “serious” tone. Give it a shot if you enjoy op revenge mangas on the more serious side but don’t expect any insane world building.

Let's get this straight. Either you like the revenge stories with an OP progagonist or you don't. If you don't, this is not for you.

Also, this review will be only about my first impressions since we're pretty much at the beginning of the main storyline, but it's already clear that this is going to be a lot better than what I've read so far with the same premise, if it can maintain that quality.

Though, I would like to point out that this is outstanding not because it brings anything new to the table, but because we can finally see a mature presentation, a ... mature cast with mature attitude. Even the artstyle is more like a beautifully drawn dark high fantasy with realistic characters. Don't get me wrong though the MC is cocky, and kinda self-insert, but he knows when to shut up, and patiently waits for the opportunity to take his revenge. So the only thing what is new here is the presentation itself, and I waited for something like this for quite a while...

The thing is, this is a bog standard fantasy world, and bog standard basic premise, but since this is the first really good revenge story without the usual infuriating tropes, it doesn't bother me that I have seen most of the things before. In fact, I like this settings, so finally there is something which is worth reading. But again, we are pretty early on in the story, it can go downhill pretty easily from here.

I cant talk too much about this but this one is so average yet enjoyable in its own way.

Story itself, nothing special, if you ever read Arifureta, u will know it, If you are not, i will summary it for you
Whole class (with mc) summon to other > Turn out mc useless > Get kick out to "dungeon" that impossible to clear > somehow mc can clear it > Mc become overpowered > Then go revenge against God.
Story simple but the plot itself nothing special, thats why i put average score

Character, VERY TROPE, we have "good guy op mc" that only kill scumbag because he ... is good guy right? and then we have female lead which pretty loyal toward mc not matter what happened, i mean female lead loyalty is very reasonable but again very trope. Other character? Oh yea we have the girl that looks like have crush with mc (childhood type) which "very rightous to everything", we have goddess that super evil even dispose everyone who doesnt like her, other than all char i mention before, everyone just pure evil, no reason, they are just evil, oh knight meet a girl, proceed to do rap, oh knight meet someone weak, proceed to kill. Repeat

Enjoyment, i say if this manga about romance only, i will give 8/10 but because this story about revenge and adventure and action, i cant, i expect this one to be more like adventure but end up just copy paste from other series, make it even more trope.

Critique, my critiques are, side characters dont have any reasoning for all about them action (i know it probably because its 1st person story (2 vision, from MC and from childhood type girl)), please dont use the same trope over and over, u know how many times mc use rap trope, thats right, its around 4 times, i feel disgusted whenever char mention "that char is hot" u know where it is going.

Overall, Pretty average story, average character and average plot, nothing worth noting, read it if u dont have anything good to read.
