If you have enjoyed a manga purely because of the characters, then I can recommend this one too. What this series (and Munko's work in general imo) does in mediocrity, is made up for with characters which pull you into their lives.
Criticisms:
The art is a slight hit or miss. I personally like the charm of the old manga style, but it is certainly dated as of now. If you are comfortable with the cover art, then you will be fine.
Also, the hard hitting themes may pull you out of the world if you only want a comedy series. I would argue its realistic domestic tension
...
helps send the overall message and make the characters more relatable, but it may hit too close to home for some to be enjoyable.
Personal dislikes:
The story ends far too soon after the final arc to let it sink in. I would normally not hold up any story like this, but given how the story is trying to show how daily life is fun in spite (or because) of external factors, it hurts the message slightly.
Likes:
I haven't read much else with anywhere this level of charm in every aespect of story and art. It tells a unique and hilarious story, while grounding itself with both satire and emotional beats. As someone who has read too much 4-koma SOL, its really the charm which makes you care about someone else's daily life.
