First off, you're just flat-out wrong about Season 2. You can check the data for Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1's score increased after episode 4, and kept increasing until the end. Part 2 had a consistent and minor drop (0.01-0.02 per episode), then fell flat in the last episode. You can compare it against their current scores and see that it's barely changed since it ended.

Compare that to this current season, it's a bit of a bloodbath. 0.05, all the way up to 0.13 after one episode.

Now what does that tell you? It means that even between "meeting episodes", there's a stark contrast in scores between Season 2 Part 2 and Season 3. Some people hated S2's meetings, but far more people hated S3's meetings. If you just unblind yourself to your fandom tendencies, you'd see why: S3's meetings were boring, repetitive, and lacking any sort of tension. At least S2 was more interesting in that it was building up to the confrontation with the first real villain for Rimuru, who was introduced way back in Season 1. S3 was meandering and directionless. The seven luminaries were barely introduced, and they're supposed to be an actual challenge for a demon lord?

I hope you now understand that the issue isn't "omg too many meetings", it's "too many boring and repetitive meetings back to back". There are countless examples of anime and other media that handle heavy dialogue and exposition in a far more engaging way. To dismiss all the valid criticisms as "fans of senseless action" is what I call braindead, since you're ignoring all the data surrounding S3 vs S2.

Anyway, I had my fun, but if you can't come up with anything of actual merit, then I guess we're done here. Let's see how low this season can go; it's already below 8, but it'll probably end up mid-7s unless it somehow redeems itself from its awful first half.
