I myself am SUB/DUB enjoyer. I like both. Some things are better in SUB, some in DUB..

As for Kaguya-sama Love is War.... I am not apologizing but the DUB is one of the best there is. I am currently on my 38 rewatch of the series (SUB and DUB) and I still love them both. But DUB... Just better for me.

I will not compare the quality of the dub vs sub narration...but from what I have seen dub narrator seems to be more of a parody of the sub narrator.

Since my language base is more toward english I prefer the dub as it is really funny but professionally the sub did a better job.

I really enjoy the narrator in the dub he made me feel like I was watching with my friends

The EN narrator is FIRE. I prefer the EN version in general. You’re not gonna put Alexis Tipton and Jad Saxton in a show and NOT have me watch the EN dub…

I know this post is just talking about how good the English narrator is, but I’m honestly tired of the sub/dub debate. Neither one is better than the other, it’s just a matter of if you want to read subtitles or not.

Sometimes a dub can be worse, or better than a sub, but has nothing to do with the language you’re listening to, it’s just on the voice actors or the translation department for half-a**ing it. There’s even a language barrier, so for all we know the Japanese voice actors could be just as equally half-a**ing it whenever we feel that way about a dub.

Personally, most of the dubs people criticize, seem to be just fine for me, I don’t see any issue with them.

On a side note, I’m also tired of people getting bothered whenever a character that’s meant to be annoying is actually annoying (ex: Asta in black clover, some people complain about the dub just because of Asta’s voice actor being annoying, when Asta himself is supposed to be annoying)

Agreed, I watched in sub and love the voices (Chika is adorable) but my partner has started with dub and the narrator kills it, really makes the jokes land so well. I think either way you’re in for a treat.

I would say the sense of humor the narrator passes through the episodes is great, and the main characters are just tje same. I'v watched dub then tried sub and it didn't feel the same. In my opinion the English dub is far superior than subs. Unless you have fluent Japanese 😁 but hey I guess its just a different personal preference for everyone.

I’ve seen both and they’re both good so I recommend you watch whatever you prefer. With that being said though, I do enjoy the narrated sections of the dub more than the sub. The sub didn’t everything else on par with dub. In the end, they’re both solid options simply because it is a good show.
