Just wanted to confirm if I can choose any of the 52 item choices for each difficulty? Say for Hard difficulty, I'll choose 45 out of these 52 items. |

I wasn't sure where I could go for help since there isn't a specific thread for this, and I felt like it would be wrong to just join the discord to get help for this situation only to LEAVE once it's resolved (because I rarely use it). I've recently completed the October 2022 Challenge and turned it in. I was worried it wouldn't be counted because I turned it in near midnight when it had hit Nov. 1st. Went to check my HoF and for some reason November has points and not October, even though Novembers Challenge hasn't been posted yet?? | According to the Scavenger Hunt rules — You don't need to complete a set before starting a hunt's second run. NEW (Feb 11, 2020) When hunts 29-32 came out, I posted twice for x1 and x2. But my x2 was deleted by someone saying I couldn't post for the x2 before I finished the first run. Am I able to do work on both runs for say hunt #29 at the same time? |

| Hello! I have a couple clarification questions for the scavenger hunt. Since there's a lot going on, I want to make sure I don't mess anything up when it comes time to turn it in. Hahah. 1. Since the challenge starting date is the posted date, does this mean I can work on this challenge in any order within a single post? For example, I have the Treasure Hunt Set, Thief Set, Ferry Set, and Myth Set all in a single post. Can I watch an anime for the Treasure Hunt Set and then an anime for the Ferry Set at the same time or do I need to check off each scavenger hunt task in order from top to bottom? 2. Adding to the previous question, does each set need to be completed in order? For example, I can't move onto Treasure Hunt SH 02 until I complete Treasure Hunt SH 01. 3. Since the code has a Start Date and End Date for each section within each set (SH 01, SH 02, SH 03, SH 04, SH 05), do these need to correspond with the anime I've watched within each section of the set or will these dates match the post's starting date as well as the ending date for when the entire set is completed? I really hope this makes sense and isn't too overwhelming to read. I apologize if it is. Please let me know if I need to explain any part of this better or give you more information. So I wanted to start some of the challenges where previously watched anime are allowed, however my issue is that a lot of the anime I had previously completed don't have a start/end date since a lot of them were completed before I joined MAL, and I've only actually started adding the start/end date properly only a few years back. What do I do in this case? Are all of those anime invalid for any challenge now, or could I add a fictional date in order to use them for some of the challenges? |

We don't expect our members to retroactively add the dates for all those old series. If you would still like to check dates and such, maybe try checking the episode history to see if there's something there? How to? - Visit any entry you have watched - below the anime picture, besides the "update" button, press "edit details" - in the line for episodes watched, press "history" - it should at least list when it was completed (or added as such to your list) It works similarly if you prefer to do it directly from your list. Just press the "edit" button that appears after the anime name and before the score. The rest is the same. |

As mentioned on the challenge rules, themes are directly referenced from external sources (once in a while). For Maids, it means that the anime's entry on AniDB or Anime-Planet must have the tag (just one character isn't enough). (The Hall of Fame only refreshes its themes once in a while, but if the anime shows up on one of the linked sources and meets the other criteria - minimum length... - then it's valid.) |

The bonus section is for anime that can't be reasonably watched (not yet aired, can't be found, is unsubbed). While hand recordings are not ideal, this particular one doesn't fall into that category. It's very short, it's fully subbed, and there aren't any major issues with the audio/camera (it's pretty clear and doesn't have a lot of violent shaking), thus why it's required. |

The only time you are forced to watch a certain show (meaning that you can not finish the challenge if you drop the show) is if the challenge names specific anime that you need to watch. |

| Theme Tag Challengel Any type is allowed, but must be equal to or longer than 15 minutes (total). Does that mean per episode or for the full series? I noticed the HoF listing for this challenge included Wan Jie Du Zun 2nd Season, which is less than 10 minutes per episode. |

Challenges that have a per-episode duration rule will clearly say so. The anime you listed would not be valid for any Theme Tag Challenges right now since you need to complete the series to be able to use it (which means the anime has to finish airing). |

| @Reisho-Teki Regarding the Days Collection, make sure to read the rules. https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1744943 We noticed your turn in here, which made me check your post... and that isn't how that challenge works. First of all, that challenge does not allow previously completed. It's based on your post date. As for the second and third run, you have to complete the previous one before you can work on the rest. And those new runs must be on a new post. Please fix your posts. |
| Hello. First of all excuse my poor wording English. I've just noticed (a little bit later I know) that the 52 weeks challenge requirements list had a revamp in December. On the Updates log is stated that "Any new attempt starting today (Dec. 20th) has to use the new item list." I use the same original post from Sep. 17th to work on all 4 difficulties but I've started each one after a 13 weeks period to finish all 4 at the same time. I can manage to fit the last one started (Medium) in the new requirements list and I assume that I can keep working with the old list for the Conquered difficulty as its start date is from September. My problem here is with the Hard difficulty: I've checked and can't fit all the work done with the new requirements list and although I use the same original post from September its start date is Dec 25th, so I would like to know if, as long as I keep Hard difficulty on the original post from September, can I keep working on it using the old requirements list or should I drop it and start over again? Thanks |

| @HEIKE7000 You can continue using the old list for Hard, we will let it pass. Just make sure to not mix items from the old list with the new one. Your attempt must be from one or the other (for Conquered and Hard. Medium and Easy should use the new one) You can link this post as note to your Hard attempt in case there are problems during inspection. |
