 Producer Aniplex opened an official website for the television anime adaptation of Takuma Sakai's Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro (Heat the Pig Liver: The Story of a Man Turned Into a Pig) light novel on Friday and revealed the main pair of cast and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2023.Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Sword Art Online) and Tomori Kusunoki (Chainsaw Man) are starring as the Pig and Jess Yesma, respectively. Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro, also known by its short title ButaLiver, won the Gold Award in the 26th Dengeki Novel Awards in 2019. Sakai began penning the comedy fantasy light novel on the Kakuyomu website in February 2020. Dengeki Bunko began printing the series featuring illustrations by Asagi Toosaka (Girly Air Force, Seiken Gakuin no Makentsukai) in March 2020 and released the sixth volume on May 10. Monthly Dengeki Maoh began serializing a manga adaptation by Minami last August. Kadokawa released the third volume on July 27. | I wonder what's wrong with these studios in Japan in the recent years !! leaving all those great unfinished and popular series and adapting a stupid stories such as this one in which a Man Turned Into a Pig !!! now someone will start writing a Manga or LN in which a man turned into a donkey and wait for some studio to pick it .. R.I.P Anime Industry . |
