| The official website of the Oniichan wa Oshimai! (Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister!) television anime revealed a pair of additional cast and the first promotional video on Friday. The anime series adapting Nekotoufu's comedy slice of life manga will air in Winter 2023. Kaede Hozuki: Hisako Kanemoto (Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun)  Momiji Hozuki: Minami Tsuda (Tachibanakan Triangle)  Shingo Fujii (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu episode director) is helming the anime at Studio Bind, with Michiko Yokote (Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!) in charge of the series composition. Ryou Imamura (Yama no Susume Third Season opening animation director) is designing the characters. Daisuke Achiwa and Alisa Okehazama (Jujutsu Kaisen) are composing the music. Egg Firm is credited for production.  Nekotoufu originally posted the manga as a doujin, also known by its short title Onimai, on Pixiv in February 2017 before Ichijinsha picked it up for physical publication in June 2018. Monthly Comic REX began serializing the manga in April 2019. The sixth volume went on sale on April 27. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English for digital release last June and published the fifth volume on March 22. Source: Moca News |

It is a pleasure that they decided to give a good production to mahiro-san so that everyone can enjoy it First the studio adapats an isekai with a pedo and now a dude who likes erotic games transforming into a woman. This is a cute slice of life and moe manga where an introverted and lonely boy learns to enjoy and live life thanks to share time with his little sister and learns to get along better with his surroundings becoming more sociable and making good friends |

I personally think the advertising trailer and synopsis is really poor marketing if that is the case. I was mostly memeing due to the synopsis of the show. That and the fact their last show involved some weird themes as well. But a synopsis talking about how a brother who has an erotic game fetish transforms into a woman is just bad advertising for the show in general. Not to mention the trailer has multiple weird moments such as their panties/shorts or whatever falling off when he just turned into a girl and his sister walks in or big booby lady ontop of someone or again big booby lady doing this.  There is even a scene of his sister pushing him over and has him dressed in a cat girl outfit and then is taking pictures. Blame the trailer for peoples viewpoints.   Don't blame the people when the advertising makes it look like a fetish show. Could have easily just had two sisters bonding or a brother and sister bonding. The only reason it has a synopsis with the erotic game fetish brother turning into a woman cough actually a girl who is apparently 16 and looks 9 is a cheap gimmick. Ps. Decided to try reading the first chapter and within like 5 pages we have information his sister drugged him and then walked in and looked underneath him now a her's shirt. Yeah hard to not see this being a bit fetishy.   We even have lines like this.  |

Yeah then I still stand by the fact the advertising and way it presents itself is poor including the first 11 chapters for a showcase. They could have easily just done a brother, sister dynamic or sister, sister dynamic and it could be almost exactly the same then. Just without the sister dressing them in a cat outfit and taking pictures like a weirdo. If it removes the fetishy stuff and becomes a CGDCT's then it just seems like another slice of nothing show which doesn't interest me personally. @KitsuYurikano I hope many others do enjoy this. I was just expressing why I didn't. But I wasn't surprised how much fanservice and sugestive themes were in it based off what I assumed on the trailer. Is it some hardcore ecchi thing? Nah but it definitely doesn't look interesting to me and I felt I expressed why well enough at least. |
