| Ok so I watched UBW like 6 years ago and remember nothing from it, but I don't want to rewatch it since the trilogy is an alt route of a sequel to Zero if I understand this correctly. Question is, do I miss anything by watching Zero and then this trilogy? |

| U should know what happens in atleast UBW to enjoy Heaven's feel.but i advise u to watch zero first,as Heaven's feel is the best finale. (watching the 2006 adaptation will enhance the experience) |

It works incredibly well with tragic backstories , but it include huge spoilers for the original story most of the time. Also , HF is actually the Route that get the most spoiled by Zero. And in UBW they don't tell us about previous War participants (like Emiya Kiritsugu and his goal) in detail... I think these are all important to thoroughly understand Fate stay night... The thing is that Fate/Stay Night is a Slow-burn mystery based type of series. Which means that you are supposed to slowly discover elements that are part of the truth , and link them yourself. By watching Zero first , you spoil near 60% of those twists. Edit : I see that you are a fan of Shingeki no Kyojin. If you were to watch the flashback of Grisha before even starting the story of Eren , wouldn't it makes way , way more sense ? But wouldn't it also completely annihilate the mystery from the point of view of Eren ? Do you get what i mean ? |

| Ok, the crucial tidbit I got from this thread is that Zero was written after 2006/UBW/HF, which is something I had no idea about. | just watch the first episode of UBW and then heaven's feel, you can watch zero afterwards. as always, the visual novel is not only better than all of the anime but it makes everything make sense, so if you can read it, i highly recommend it— but if you aren't gonna read it, just go UBW > HEAVENS F > ZERO and then whatever else you want in Fate. |

| I'd say so. Ignore the Fate nerds overcomplicating things like always. Release order is perfectly fine. Fate is not that complex of a story where it really matters. |

Nop , the best order is how the creators expected you to see their works : 2006 > UBW > HF > Zero. Actually , there is even "Hollow/Ataraxia" between HF & Zero , but it still have no Anime Adaptation , so you can ignore it for now. |
