 The official Twitter account of Hypergryph's Arknights smartphone game announced a television anime on Sunday. The first season, subtitled Reimei Zensou (Prelude to Dawn), is in production by Yostar Pictures. Game Synopsis Arknights takes place in the dystopian world of Terra, a world similar to Earth, with the exception that many Terrans, or "Ancients," sport animalistic traits and magic-like powers known as Originium Arts. The world of Terra is constantly devastated by Catastrophes, forcing its inhabitants to adopt a nomadic life through nomadic cities. These catastrophes brought with them the pandemic known as Oripathy, a terminal disease caused from exposure to Originium, a crystalline mineral left behind after Catastrophes. However, Originium has uses both as a powerful fuel source and strong construction material. It is also the source of the magic-like abilities of Arts. The game is told from the perspective of Rhodes Island, a paramilitary medical organization, whose mission is to provide treatment to those infected with Oripathy. The organization is led by the "Doctor," who has recently lost their memory after waking from "a long sleep" in the middle of a city-wide catastrophe. The story follows Rhodes Island's conflict with the Reunion Movement, a violent non-state actor whose stated purpose is to create a better life for the Infected—individuals with Oripathy—by punishing those responsible for their plight. | Oh wow, this was unexpected. Couldn’t really get into the game, I always got bored whenever I tried to reinstall it. I know it’s got a HUGE, VERY HUGE amount of story each chapter. Looking forward to this one for sure. Let’s hope the quality will be good. Also from the trail it seems like there will be multiple seasons? I’m guessing split cour. |

| ambiguous Doktah in the PV. let's. freaking. go!! If everything goes right, this can easily be top among the currently adapted mobile games out there. Tho first few chapters are pretty good; it's what comes after that is amazing. As the name says, "prelude to dawn". My full trust is in Yostar; they've done amazing so far with past PVs and Holy Knight Light Now that I think of it, I wonder if HG will do the music for AK anime, but anyways. Might also do some rereading before the anime. |

| HYPPPPPEEEEEEE!!! Can't believe my favorite gacha ever is finally getting the anime treatment! Also possibly female Dokutah? LET'S GO! I'm hoping it doesn't turn out like the Azur Lane adaptation, but I'm so stoked either way. Came back to the game after nearly a one-year break and I'm loving it once more. The game has so much untapped lore that I'd love to see fleshed out in animation format. |

| I'm so hyped now! As someone who plays the game since the launch of english server and still plays the game, I'm so excited. The lore of the game is so good, hoping that they will adapt the story faithfully. If they will adapt the story, I'd say a 13 episode anime should be enough to adapt chapters 1 to 8 of the game then use the W event/side story as an OVA if the anime adaptation is well received. The first 4 chapters is pretty fine, it's the chapters 5 above and the side stories/events that made the game more interesting. Also, Bagpipe is my best girl! |

That way it will not feel crammed as well and only minimal content will be removed or skipped.
