| I think I saw many threads about MT being the Best isekai in many threads. It's good to discuss it But many of them are just starting fan wars. MT is unique, it's not like some rather generic isekai... how can you guys compare MT with Re zero? Re zero is best in its own way and MT too... Remaining animes like Overlord, Rising of Shield Hero, Konosuba and even slime are best in their own ways. If the story is too similar then we can start comparing. Look there's no one best isekai in my point of view. Every isekai I watched until now is awesome where some random isekai series blew up. If someone starts a comparison please remember this: Don't trash other series to show your series is good. It may confuse the other anime watchers. This is just my opinion.. Waiting for EP4 |

| Setting aside the fact that MT is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to Isekai, the phrase "best in its own way" is an oxymoron. For something to be the best, it must be better than all its contemporaries, so suggesting that everything is "best" would mean the term cannot be applied. |

| There is plenty to compare between Mushoku Tensei and Re:Zero. You don't have to compare each series as a whole; instead, you can compare smaller aspects from them. For example, both shows' character development is comparable. Both main characters are flawed in their own ways and the side characters are presented in a much different manner. You could also comparable production value, world building, etc. Once the comparisons are made, one can decide if they prefer a series over the other, or if they like both just as much. |

| A lot of people like labeling all isekai as the same when many are completely different in terms of how they present the characters and stories. I agree with you completely on that, however, you can still have a favorite isekai even if a lot are different. |
