Kodansha announced a television anime adaptation of TNSK's Uchi no Shishou wa Shippo ga Nai (My Master Has No Tail) manga on Tuesday.

M.A.O (Mao Ichimichi) (Princess Connect! Re:Dive) and Hibiku Yamamura (Island) are starring as Mameda and Bunko Daikokutei, respectively.

TNSK began serializing the supernatural comedy manga in good! Afternoon magazine in January 2019. Kodansha published the sixth volume on August 5.

Synopsis
Mameda is a shapeshifting Tanuki girl who dreams of becoming human someday. One day, she turns into a black-haired beauty and heads out to Osaka, but is soon discovered! One beautiful woman relentlessly says to the depressed Mameda, "Go back to where you came from!" calls herself Rakugo-ka (Rakugo storyteller). The Taisho Rakugo fantasy that will make you smile begins here!

I do not understand this. If anime has a yuri element, then this is yuri for me.

This is not a yuri or a yuri bait anime by long shot, Just because the two lead are female doesn't makes a anime yuri.

You're absolutely right. Works that have no semblance of yuri – by a long shot – publish spin-off chapters on Yuri Hime all the time. I don't know where people got this idea from.

Officially not, but if I remember correctly the reviews of the manga in various yuri publications, tanuki-girl is quite openly attracted to the second girl.

Yes, my remark was tongue-in-cheek.
