  During the DigiFes 2021 event on Sunday, a new television anime titled Digimon Ghost Game was announced. The new anime will air on Fuji TV in Fall 2021. The event also revealed a teaser visual (pictured above left). A new Digimon Adventure 02 movie was also announced at Sunday's event. Toei Animation posted a teaser trailer featuring a mysterious young boy and Digimon. The story will revolve around Daisuke and his friends, who were first introduced in the 2000 television anime. Tomohisa Taguchi (Akudama Drive) and Akatsuki Yamatoya (Soul Eater) are directing and handling the screenplay for the movie, respectively. The duo previously worked on the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna movie in the same role. | I wasn't a fan of the Digimon Adventure reboot, but I will give Digimon Ghost Game a shot. Digimon Ghost Game kind of sounds similar to Digimon Tamers. |

| Ghost Game has a chance of being good by virtue of not being Adventure. My expectations for the movie are low, but I may watch it if it doesn't rely too heavily on nostalgia. |

| They're going to ruin Last Evolution Kizuna's ending, aren't they? I know 02's ending is still canon but I would rather prefer LEK never got a sequel at all since the ending of that movie is already perfect enough for the Adventure series. Not going to hype about this ghost thing especially after knowing how terrible Xros Wars, Tri., Appsmon and the Adventure reboot was (LEK is the only good Digimon media that were released in recent years). |
| I'm in a minority that's really enjoying Adventure 2020, but I'm also glad they're moving on to something new, non-Adventure related after this. I'm just glad there's gonna be a new Digimon series so soon after the current one ends at all. I'll have to wait and see on the Adventure 02 movie. Didn't like Tri whatsoever, but Last Evolution Kizuna was alright and a fitting enough ending. I have a lot of nostalgia for 02 and its cast though so I am curious about what it will bring. |

| Finally something that's not adventure- *sees next picture* ok at least it's not tai and his friends again (?) maybe i should give adventure reboot a chance though but it seems so boring. the new digimon cameos are cool, sure, but the last plot i enjoyed was appmon. which is not adventure. |
