| 1. The story here (in anime) is actually interesting to get into. Being an animated piece of storytelling media, it just have an unlimited space and potential to explore considering it doesn't use much production value compared to hollywood's and could still deliver an interesting story and visuals. 2. Looking at the definition, i think not all anime watcher could be considered a weeb, but i don't mind calling myself a weeb, 'cause i actually a bit interested to explore more of Japanese related things here on the internet. | Anime is a type of entertainment media, watching it doesn't make you a weeb. Preferring japan's own culture over your own, and going as far as attempting to live that type of style, probably does. You could say that someone with a boat load of anime product and merch is a weeb, but you've got people doing that with other, non-anime shows so that's up for debate. |
