 Bandai Namco Arts opened an official website for a television anime of Masafumi Nishida, Tadayoshi Kubo, and Kouta Sannomiya's Tesla Note manga on Wednesday, revealing the main staff, cast, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promo. The anime is scheduled for a 2021 debut.Synopsis Mission T is a secret operation to save the world from destruction. Trained as a ninja from a young age, Botan Negoro, raised to become the ultimate spy, teams up with another excellent spy, Kuruma. Their aim is to recover the legacy of the genius inventor Nikola Tesla, the "Shards of Tesla." Can the two outwit the agents of other countries who are also pursuing these fragments? A super-original spy thriller begins. | I've seen a lot of people say the reason why CG in anime is bad is because it lacks "frames" and it's all choppy. The reason why CG in anime tends to be like that is so that it would still have that same anime feel, as most anime are animated in 2's (12 fps). This abomination is what happens when you don't animate by 2's and interpolate all frames. The animation isn't particularly stiff or unexpressive, yet it feels so jarring because it's just too fluid. It just looks like some video game's cutscene rather than an anime. Hell, even some video games try to replicate anime's animation style by holding frames (e.g. like those ArcSys games). This anime's production is still redeemable if they animate it by 2's or something. Unlike something like Ex-arm, which was doomed from the start. On another note, I'm shocked to see an anime adaptation announcement when the manga only started a few months ago and the first volume isn't even out yet. |

| Facial expressions and linear timing of lip sync reminds me of Ex-arm, but other aspects are way better in terms of rendering and timing based on how this trailer went so far. But then, trailers can be deceptive so we'll see when it's already there. Still wondering why studios can't just try to emulate Orange, Sanzigen, and MAPPA's CGI. Not saying that the effort above was bad as it's actually very decent, way better, and liveable as far as it goes compared to Ex-arm. |

| HERE WE GO AGAIN... ...is what I wanted to say, but we've come a long way for 3DCG anime in the veins or 2D-3DCG mix. The presentation is definitely leaps better than Ex-Arm, but then again, it's still the trailer production so this is still up in arms. At least there's a production committee who KNOWS how to make anime, so I'm left wondering if this is what Ex-Arm's production would've been like to veterans, at least for full 3DCG experimentation in the veins of Polygon Pictures. Ex-Arm PV was ENTIRELY compiled of scenes that used motion capture, which most likely consumed about 90% of budget and was not representative of this anime in general and motion capture scenes were just a small procentage of whole anime. PVs usually look better because they are made to sell the anime. Tesla Note already looks awful on PV and I assume an actual anime will look even worse. |

| I recently started reading the manga which was quite fun and the manga getting an adaptation even when it's still very early to have anything worth animating in a TV series. But then it comes out to be Ex-arm 2.0. I just don't understand the new studios, I don't understand why they are using CGI, wasn't it more expensive than 2D but then it's not even as good as Beastars which went full CGI at least from the PV but I will still wait for it. |
