| So for anyone who hasn't seen Gunsmith Cats or Riding Bean this may not mean much. But for those who have YEEEEEEESSSSS!!!!! This was the 80s anime version of the Transporter. Great animation and action. Cool as all hell car chase sequences, and gunfights that would make Riding Bean an amazing live action movie if Drive, Baby Driver, and the aforementioned Transporter weren't already there to scratch that itch for most people. That said, this was the last OVA I expected to get a modern lift and the fact that they're sticking to just an OVA means that maybe we'll get that same enjoyment of high quality action animation! I can't wait to see who is the staff on board this project but if it has any talent worth mentioning, then this will surely be worth people's time. Anyone else excited? |

Definitely where most of my anxiety stems from for the most part. This one of those OVAs where even if the plot is mediocre but the visuals are stunning I'll be satisfied The promo art looks like it would make an amazing woodprint poster though. And what little animation I saw in the Kickstarter page looked pretty cool |

I think the change had to do with some copy rights involving Bean Bandit, so the change was made to get around it. I am looking forward to the OVA too, Gunsmith Cats is was the first manga I ever read and is still my all time favorite. Its hard to beat Guns, Muscle Cars and hot babes! I am hoping Percy makes a come back...... |

I would be pretty ecstatic if this lead to a TV run, Gunsmith Cats was one of the first animes I watched and it would be great to see Rally and the Shelby tearing it up again. If it gets a TV run I wonder if they will go with the Bandit blonde Rally or the Cats Rally with black hair..... |

Thanks for the info, I do recall hearing something about copyrights somewhere down the line, which I would assume is also the reason why Bean didn't appear in Gunsmith Cats until later in the series. Thats too bad about Rally though. There is so much more materiel with darker skinned Rally (wasn't she supposed to be part Indian?) that despite coming after the original version the GSC Rally seems like the real Rally. But hair and skin color doesn't matter as long as she is the same muscle-car driving crack shot that I love. |

| Damn, I was looking forward to this project for a while now. But knowing Mr.Sonoda he's probably working extra hard to make sure the finished product is up to snuff. Looking at the revised Gun Smith Cats manga volumes should help with the wait in the mean time. |

| I just stumbled across Gunsmith Cats while trying to quench my thirst for some decent mid-90's anime after finishing the Great Teacher Onizuka. I loved the three episodes and Riding Bean, so I'm really happy to hear about this. Crazy coincidence that I'd find the franchise the same year that they'll hopefully release this OVA. |

| Bean Bandit has finally been uploaded online. It is marked as raw, so it may only be in Japanese without English subtitles rather than having English subtitles or being the English dub, but I am not sure. Even if it is though, the English subtitles and the English dub shouldn't take too much longer to get uploaded now that the raw is out. |
