I remember a lot of complaints about S4's quality while it aired and people saying it was because of the second movie, I expect the same thing to happen here with S5. Hopefully not though, because I think I saw a comment on a different thread about how there are now 2 separate teams for the show and the movie that won't affect each other, but don't quote me on that lol.

People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

that's probably true, but that also means there are less animators eitherway, as I'm pretty sure a 2-cour season would make use of multiple teams(just hypothesis though)

I don't know, I enjoy Hero Aca, but in season 4 it's formula, and many elements of it's writing, started to get old for me.
I'll enjoy it, I don't have a problem watching series I consider mid
and I understand they want to make as much off of this property as they can since it SOUNDS like the manga is getting close to an end, or at least getting close to it's final arc, if not already on it(nothing has been confirmed yet)

If the big 3 are anything to go by then movies of long running battle shounen are mostly mediocre compared to the actual series, MHA's actual series has already been mediocre so where do we go from here?

I haven't seen the previous 2 yet. I don't usually watch these non-canon shonen movies. My only real hope here is that it doesn't interfere with season 5 the way the last one (supposedly) did for season 4.

Well nothing has been confirmed, but from what I've been hearing(without spoiling anything I've heard), they're at a big showdown with the League of villains, with big reveals, big pay offs, character deaths, a lot that would indicate the final arc in most cases

Sarcasm aside, MHA really loves to produce movies, and even if they have separate teams for the movies and the anime, S4 is a great example of how low the series can go if the animation and production is not on point compared to the previous ones.

Haven't watched it from the third season cause the things became wayyyy to repetitive. Didnt watch any movies till now. Aint gonna watch this either cuz, why? Its not like the demon slayer movie which is canon. Plus the Season 4 complaints are still roaming around so... I think i'll wait for this story to complete and then maybe binge the show.

Everyone has great taste, until they start watching galactic heroes and shit on everyone else's taste
