| Gilgamesh is one of the worst characters I've seen in fiction and it pisses me off that he's in Nasu's otherwise fantastic work. Let's give him a busted af Gate of Babylon that has a prototype of every NP (from which he can cherry pick a counter to any foe), a sword that surpasses even the legendary Excalibur, chains that can restrict gods, and — why the hell not — fucking omniscience (Sha Naqba Imuru). And on top of it let's make him a prick. Seriously, even Kirei is a genuinely likable character at the end of Heaven's Feel, I really don't know what Nasu was thinking. At least he gets killed off in HF before he gets the chance to ruin the best route. ...All right I'm done ranting lol. @Owl40 Gil is great in other Fate works, but that's almost a different character. ivanaaj doesn't have other Fate works on her list, so I assume she's judging the one from F/sn. Also how can a main character be a plot device, that's like saying Sasuke is a plot device in Naruto. |

| Did you only watch Fate/Zero and Fate/stay Night + VN? Gilgamesh is a smart and witty, well written character in the "NASUVERSE". If you are aware of other fate game, anime and manga, It is imposible to dislike Gil. OT: Kaori is just a mere plot device. |
