Manga creator Negi Haruba announced on Twitter on Wednesday that his 5-toubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets) manga series will end with the 14th volume. Synopsis Considered a genius, high schooler Fuutarou Uesugi excels at studying and obtains a perfect score on every test. Due to his intense focus on that regard, he is a reclusive person with no friends. Additionally, he lives in a tight financial state as a result of family debts. Fuutarou's mundane lifestyle is interrupted when Itsuki Nakano, a new transfer student, contests him for his usual lunch seat. After a short altercation, Fuutarou emerges victorious by insulting Itsuki's eating habits, which angers her enough to leave. However, when Fuutarou learns that he has been offered the private tutor position of a wealthy family's academically hopeless daughters, he immediately regrets his prior encounter. It turns out that the beneficiaries of his tutoring are none other than Itsuki and her four identical siblings: the shy Miku, the cheerful Yotsuba, the devious Nino, and the mature Ichika! Teaching these quintuplets may prove more difficult for Fuutarou than he initially expected, as the last thing they want to do is seriously study. Now, Fuutarou must face the various challenges of tutoring five beautiful yet eccentric girls. [Written by MAL Rewrite] Haruba originally published the romantic comedy series as a one-shot in Weekly Shounen Magazine in January 2017. Regular serialization of the manga began in August 2017. Kodansha published the 12th volume on November 15 (pictured). 5-toubun no Hanayome has a cumulative 8.6 million copies of its volumes in print. The manga inspired a 12-episode TV anime adaptation this January by Tezuka Productions, which was simulcast by Crunchyroll. Funimation also streamed an English dub. A second season is currently in production. Kodansha Comics licensed the manga in English in 2018 for both digital and physical release. The tenth e-book volume and the fifth physical volume went on sale on September 17 and November 5, respectively. Source: Comic Natalie News submitted by Kingsman117 |

I'm honestly pissed because he chose Yotsuba over Nino and Miku. Negi just disrespected the two hella hard, especially since their big moments in the manga is what made the series so popular anyway Mod Edit: Added spoiler tags; please hide plot details. |

Nasty feeling that the ending will piss off plenty of fans given the inconsistencies the story has had thus far but I’m hoping for the very best nonetheless! Looking forward to the finale! |

So the manga is almost finished, huh? I wonder if this means that the second season of the anime will be the last. Come to think of it, I've only read the first chapter so far. |

I would have loved it to drag on maybe 200 or more ch and have an open ending instead of choosing anyone that would have been better than to see my girls crying. |

Why is everyone is so pissed about yotsuba?? It’s still unknown if she will be the winner. It could be that fuutarou just visited the girls room one by one. And, if Yotsuba is the winner, doesn’t mean that Negi disrespected the other girls. I mean, she IS the girl that fuutarou’s meet when they’re child, and then she supported the other girls with fuutarou. Last, everyone deserves to be the winner, they all struggles so much and y’all said that one girl doesn’t deserves to be the winner. |

At this point if Yotsuba is the endgame, I'm gonna stop reading harem manga's entirely because it's the same shit each time. Author writes better FMC leads that bring in support for the manga, has MC end up hooking with a different girl with less favoritism, and then rinse and repeat for other series. Yotsuba is a fine character, but no way in hell does she deserve to win over Miku and Nino. They had bigger moments in the manga that made the series popular to begin with, and then we find ourselves back to old tropes that just won't stop being used |

And for most of the story, you didn't even know that she was the first girl Itsuki was and that would have been the worst choice if Itsuki one witch he was teasing for most of the manga. Yotsuba earned her place came in clutch and had the most effect on Futarro himself, not just self-betterment. Just because a character puts in a lot of effort that doesn't mean he has to reciprocate. It seems to me that your just agnry the girls you would have picked didn't win and that seems a little shallow. And this is coming from a huge Nino Suporter |

Most of her development was rushed/crammed in after chapter 90 when she was revealed to be Rena. Nino, Miku, and Itsuki at least had more natural development and even most Yotsuba fans were surprised by her win because they knew she had the least amount of actual development. And compared to Miku and Nino, she wasn't that close to them in terms of popularity really from what I saw. I'm just gonna give up at harems and romances if Yotsuba really does win, because she's two tropes wrapped into one character and even other fans are noticing it |

Rinji- said: Can't wait to see Haruba's next work. His artwork is stunning. We will have to wait, I think. Because he has been suffering from burnout syndrome as evident from some his interviews (like he admires mangaka with long running publications etc.), something that led to many mangaka lose their health or stop being mangaka altogether. You will also notice that the later chapters were rushed and the drawing quality dropped here and there. It's the nature of the job and the demand it makes on the individual's body. WSM will lose a lot of grounds it made to catch up with WSJ's circulations since GoToubun became popular. @tragedydesu: You never know. You may like the girl who - was always kind to Fuutarou from the start. - has been supportive to everyone. - was the girl who Fuutarou met and spent time with as children - was the one who changed Fuutarou into the Fuutarou we see in the manga - has been in love with him the longest. Although, she is not Miku. T_T |

Well i dont like it cuz he said that he loves all of them just 3 days ago, but now he decided on Yotsuba all of a suden. Well i am still interested about what he said to the other 4 before he went to Yotsubas room, maybe Negi can fix this ending so that every one can support yotsuba if she the bride in the end. Btw for me its 1# Miku, Nino, Ichika and Yotsuba 2# Itsuki So i have nothing against Yotsuba being the bride, just the way it was handeld |

Well it was pretty good until chapter 100. Kinda felt it was dragging a bit with very little progression. But yeah kinda best to end it right here similar to Boarding School Juliet before it gets stale and uninteresting. |

Harem hardly ever end with a harem anyway . The only time I can think of when a harem end happens is if it's a fantasy or magic is involved in the series Or if your name is Kazami Yuuji |

I just tired of authors choosing this stereotype for the main girl. I m fine with it, as long as it is NOT Yotsuba... |
