| The last worst censorship I remember was either "Terra Formars" or "Tokyo Ghoul". Thank goodness I haven't watched anything that requires censoring recently, apparently. Though I think that while I hate it, in the end its up to the government. When it starts caring about what I want, I'll give my opinion free of charge. |

| While I've never liked how it feels like people "who defend the west" or whatever downplay some of the censorship and creative control oriented aspects of movements such as modern feminism and how many use various shaming and labeling tactics to try to pressure people to fall in line with them lest they get labeled a woman hater or something, yeah, I can definitely agree that China is a bigger threat. I've said that multiple times already anyway, though, so meh. No, criticisms and concerns don't suddenly disappear and repulsive aspects of a movement aren't suddenly absolved because there's a bigger threat. Multiple threats can exist on multiple fronts and multiple disgusting things can be disgusting in tandem with one another. But in general, yeah, China has higher potential to fuck with shit, definitely, I 100% agree with that and that's been my stance for a while now. It already shows with the multitude of corporations that only gave lipservice-y fucks at best about things these movements in the west advocate that have directly bowed down to them on more than one occasion. The market there is completely and entirely more lucrative, it's very fast growing, and the government takes advantage of as much with foreign corporations already to promote their repulsive, authoritarian values. Then again, my stance on China is kinda chaotic evil in that I wouldn't mind just lobbing nukes at them and hoping for the best case scenario of MAD or something. Better to be dead than to be the little bitch of that kind of regime ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ------ Also, imagine being one of the self-blinding fuckwits in this thread that's unironically thinking that a movement that's currently backed primarily by the female equivalent of neckbeards whining on fucking twitter in their little hugbox online circles about how they can't control what other people fap to, how nobody wants to marry them and how it totally has nothing to do with them being insufferable fucking people and is *really* all due to neo-naziism and woman-hating, or that some fictional character is more attractive than them, is more of a threat than an authoritarian regime holding onto an insanely lucrative consumer market, has one of the fastest growing economies in the world (if not the fastest, iirc) and one of the largest military presences on the globe, that also has corporations from all over the globe lining up to kiss Winnie the Pooh's fucking feet and censor everything the most sensitive man in the world takes issue with. Let's face it, censorship is everywhere on the internet and it's getting worse and worse every year, no matter where you are. We know, that China is communist and communism is ideology, that should be illegal along with fascism. West is not overblown, when democratic country starts censoring or banning content that is not related with anything ugly like supporting hate towards people, child porn or racism, then it's a bad sign and it should not be taken lightly or ignored. |

This Club is good for tracking down chinese animations on MAL. I have only just watched some of magical girl series Ba La La Xiao Mo Xian Zhi. Cupid's Chocolates I have heard is pretty close to anime with all that harem stuff and Crunchyroll has some shows available too but apparently with Japanese audio. Also quite many fujoshi/fudanshi rave over at least Mo Dao Zu Shi comic. Those are anime-ish in style, for other Chinese animation Netflix at least had Door Guardians available. Older short animation The nine-coloured deer 1981 has sweet stylization and first full length animated movie from Asia Princess Iron Fan 1941 is also good for its time and has classic Chinese fairy tale. |

| Japanese anime studios still make anime for Japanese viewers, not for Western audiences or Asian audiences. The reason why China has a huge anime fanbase is because they bootleg everything. There are already anime geared towards a CHinese audience anyways and they will likely stay niche the same way anime geared towards Western audiences are. And, as someone pointed out before, China censors and cuts out everything. Fans there just sneak past this with VPNs and stuff. There's a reason China has the largest bootleg server of the Kantai Collection online game. |

The US will attempt to censor for the whole of the world so it effects all the English speaking people. You see it with Crunchyroll having the censored version of Kandagawa Jet Girls even though the uncensored version is available at the same time. |

Crunchyroll uploads what they get from Japan. Those censored versions were already edited usually for TV broadcasting and uncensored might be limited to some other streaming services. In some rare cases CR may even have uncensored version like they have rights to stream Yu-Gi-Oh japanese version. Maybe those Japanese business men want to try to sell their expensive uncensored blu-ray releases huh.
