Don't post here, but since no one else is I felt like talking about it.

Riot Games just had their 10-year anniversary for League of Legends, and with it they announced a lot of things they have been working on for the future. They announced a card game, MMO, FPS, and fighting game. On top of that, they announced that TFT (Team Fighting Tactics) and Summoner's Rift will be available for mobile play.

May take a while for these additions (tbh announcing and producing this many games is insane in itself, not even counting the animated series they are making) but I'm hyped for it.

I'm not a fan of Riot games in fact I don't like LOL.

But the mobile games announced seem pretty good tbh.

The fighting game looks interesting but oh no, it's by the same studio that made Rising Thunder...

had to search this cause i had never heard of it, and it sounds like an absolute dumpster fire

i highly doubt i will even touch the new league fighting game for 10 seconds even if its free, and of all the kinds of games they're putting out fighting game genre is the only one that really interests me

I kind of quit league of legends but that mobile game looks interesting I guess (I'd have to see how it performs outside of the trailer) and it would possibly be a contender to Mobile Legends. Also, I loved how they threw that subtle shade at Blizzard about the phones.

The games kind of just seem like copies of other games to me though. The card game looks like Hearthstone and the FPS looks like it has some Overwatch/CS:GO thing going on. Can't really comment on the fighting game since most of them look the same anyways.

Not interested in the FPS game at all. Looks like trash. Kind of hyped for the fighting and card game though.

The cool thing about mobile is they had to scrap everything about the PC and start from scratch, which allowed them to come up with thigns that are just unique to the mobile players.

Most games are copies off of others, heck League was a rip off of Dota, Fortnite was a rip off of PUBG which was a rip of of... you get it.

Tbf, it doesn't really seem like it'll be that bad. They haven't even announced when it will be dropped so it may take years but if it's good then it's worth it. They've said there are different developers from different fighting games working on it so I doubt it's just them.

Yea I thought that was pretty cool as well, hopefully they decide to do stuff like having exclusive skins for mobile and not be p2w like most of the mobile games on the app store

League isn't a game built around pay to win, no need to worry there.

I hope so, because i don't want a fighting game with 1-button combos and cooldown on abilities. Like imagine playing with Ryu and you have to wait to do shoryukens/hadokens...

Might try that card game. I already enjoy TFT a lot.

Kinda sad how terrible the actual summoners rift game is though.

Have you actually played a fighting game w/ cooldowns?

I've played Granblue Fantasy Versus beta and it had cooldowns. They were so short I never even noticed they were there. Like you could do a fireball and it would go off of cooldown faster than it could reach the end of the screen.
NGL, I also thought I was gonna hate it, but the game was good.

the only thing I am interested in is that project F. According to a Reddit post it says it is in an MMORPG which has me really excited. imagine a league like Diablo where all the champions are playable with all their own skill trees, that would be really rad also, wild rift looks Interesting. would be nice if there was an option to choose between tap control & joystick like vainglory does.

It’s okay to look back at the past, just don’t stare too long

Yea, i have to play it first to see how it is and i didn't knew that Granblue Fantasy Versus also has those cooldowns.

Riot has already denied working on an MMORPG multiple times in the past. Project F is more than likely a co-op ARPG. Even if they were to make an MMORPG, I highly doubt you'd be playing as one of the champions. Unfortunately, one can only dream of pwning some Yordle noobs as a Shadow Order assassin. Maybe one day.

I am a god

Even though I'm a man of god

My whole life in the hand of god

So y'all better quit playing with god

The card and fighting games look promising, but the latter is being developed by a company with a not-so-stellar portfolio. Might have to wait and see.

The shooting game looks bland. Like, really bland. It's still in the alpha stage, though, so anything can happen.

Damn, when I read the thread title, I thought the Japanese company "Riot"(which was a division of Telnet Japan) was putting out new games, but it's just some American company instead. That sucks.

Well Riot is partly run by Tencent if that counts.

The funniest part about Riot's card game is the fact that it completely invalidates Reynad's stupid claim that the reason his card game title didn't take off is because Artifact killed the space.

There's no partial ownedrship. Riot is 100% owned by Tencent.
