Sailor Moon!!!!

We had a VHS with two of the DiC dubbed episodes, so I would play that on repeat for a while when I was younger... it's pretty much a nostalgic favorite of mine. Too bad we don't have it anymore...
Though I ended up enjoying the manga even more once I got to read it a few years ago.

Sword Art Online.

I liked it, but now that I've seen quite a bit more animes since then, I definitely like other animes a lot better.

Persona 4 The Animation. It might not have been the best adaptation, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless.

That's far back in time, so I can't say for sure but i would say Attack No.1. Just thought of it as an normal cartoon. As bad as it is, it still is something special for me.

Dragonball Z was the first anime series I started watching when I was younger.
Movie wise would have been Black Jack: The Movie (1996).

Chronologically, it would be Transformers: The Movie back in 1987 or 88 but I was 6 and didn't know what anime was back then. Deliberately, it was Dragonball Z in the mid-90s. My younger brother was watching it and I got into it too.

Probably Speed Racer or Sailor Moon on Saturday morning TV in the 90s among with other cartoons. While DBZ was a huge talk with everyone that time i had no source of getting it due to family disapprove me getting into manga/anime/games, so i only read a few volumes of DBZ borrow from friends that willing to lend.

probably Speed Racer, Gatchaman or The Mysterious Cites of Gold in the 80's without realizing it was anime.

First anime I purposely watched was Akira when it was in the theater back in the early 90"s

Guess the 1st series I actually watched on would have been either Inuyasha or maybe Cowboy Bebop back in the early days of adult swim

Star blazers, and I’m pretty sure my dad watched while he was growing up before I did.

Naruto or sao were probably my first non-kids anime, but even then I didn’t really know what anime was.

Spirited away was when I actively started seeking for anime.

If you're reading this,

You must be really bored.

Inuyasha

I remember seeing it on toonami and thinking it was the coolest thing ever so I recorded it to the DVR to watch again later. I started watching toonami every night and I remember not liking when final act came on because I didn't like the new art.

hm i have 2 answers for that question:

first i saw dragon ball, but that was a cartoon to me and so were digimon, pokemon, medabots and yu gi oh before i watched soul eater knowing it was anime and liking it.

So either dragon ball in the end of the 90s or soul eater like 10 years later (age just hit me like a rock right now)
I think I don't know wtf I'm doing. Maybe. Probably.

It's impossible for me to remember. But I remember my dad sitting me in front of Spirited Away and me being scared to death of it.

The first time I clearly started getting into anime was in 2009 or so with Haruhi Suzumiya.

Earliest show I can recall watching was Doraemon. I think I was around 5 or 6 at the time. I've always loved how he pulls some really cool gadgets out of pocket. I remember bugging my folks about getting any one of those gadgets but they would of course chuckle in amusement.

Not counting pokemon and yu-gi-oh and others like them, the first anime I watched, and the one that got me into anime, was Bleach.

I was fascinated by the Soul Reapers and the Hollows and everything. Well now I can look back and see Bleach for what it really is.
No anime is non-canon. Non-canon is canon, but on a different world line.
