| Already answered this type of question. While shows like Violet Evergarden, School-Live!, and Danganronpa 3 have made me well up, the only anime to make me ugly cry was Assassination Classroom, specifically the penultimate episode. |

| +1 Clannad After Story it's probably the most realistically depressing story I've seen, ever. Realistic not as in the events, but the characters reaction. I felt it in my soul. The show absolutely devastated me. Even listening to the OST now (after having seen the series about a decade ago) I would not be able to control my emotion. |

| Koe no Katachi, Madoka Magica, 3-gatsu no Lion and Angel Beats were best anime that made me cry. Violet Evergarden, though not as good in other areas, certainly made me cry a lot too. I think Re;Zero and Soredemo Sekai wa Utskushii also managed to do it at some point. Fate/Zero and F/SN did as well. Also Fairy Tail (but that's really long, so watching it just for the tear jerking moments wouldn't be very good idea). There may have been few others, but those are the only ones that I notably remember, I don't cry to anime often. Also not all of them are strictly tear jerkers though (those usually don't work for me). |
| Just gonna list the ones from this season cuz other olders ones people probably already know. 1. Kono Oto Tomare ep5 -> Chika solo part. 2. Sarazanmai ep 8 -> last part that I'm not going to spoil. Both shows are the best shows of the season. (Plot-wise and character-wise so far) |
| Okay so i guess no one cried while watching amaama to inazuma except me. Ano hana. I watched it few days after a friend of mine died. I didnt read the reviews so it really made me cry a lot. The best is DEATH PARADE 😭😭😭. Very relatable. Still not over it. Such a masterpiece for me. Also noragami esp the 2nd season, aot, sao, ao no exorcist, wolf children |
