| I don't really fight about shit like that where it just boils down to preference and taste because what's the point? There is none. In the best case I can explain why I personally liked or disliked something and the other person can accept it and vice versa. And that is already very unlikely in my experience. Everyone usually just wants to 'win' and keeps arguing for the sake of it until one side gets tired of it. I've seen it too often and I don't feel like it's very productive so I usually avoid engaging in these completely subjective arguments that don't have an end. I prefer just calling out people who write objective wrong bullshit and telling them why they are wrong. It's important not to lose sight of the border between opinions and simply being factually wrong. Too many people think that they can write any bullshit by hiding it as an opinion. |

| Funny enough, it started with arguing about why I liked an anime (can't remember which) and then eventually moved into a conversation about the philosophical implications of a purely subjective evaluation system of art and media, and why taking on a proto-objective standard was necessary. Wasn't really a "fight" now that I think about it. Actually probably like a year(?) ago I got into a super insult-driven argument over how people have a double standard when it comes to SAO, and how similar plot techniques are used in other anime that aren't as criticized because people either love or hate SAO and it emotionally blinds their opinion on the matter. |

| In a thread asking whether two certain characters age difference was disturbing or not, I said something like "the height difference is more disturbing than the age difference". I posted it with a screenshot showing the difference in height between the characters. Somebody took my post way too seriously and argued me to death on how there was nothing wrong with couples being different height. I think I failed to properly explain that I didn't really care. I learned that day how serious people were on the internet, and if you try to make a joke people call you a troll. |

It has a fantastic and unique setting with likable characters. The way it starts with one small boy in one spot and uses his adventures to expand on and showcase the whole world he exists in is brilliant. |
| I can't remember any specific fight, but in my early anime days I'd argue with One Piece fans a lot, I didn't like One Piece and I hated how back then you'd see so many anime and manga comment sections with someone saying "this sux one piece is better". If I was a betting man I'd say my first fight was something like that, I had to fight for Naruto's honor and push back against the OP army |

Your explanation of Magi sounds a lot like One Piece with a boy with almost nothing and throughout his journey he explores the rich and vast world with his friends while becoming stronger. But what sets them apart is how they use their tools and resources to create a story. Magi is renounced to be a great anime that everyone should watch and love, but with it's boring story and bland characters its just a huge disappointment from what the series promised. One Piece at least lived up to what it sailed out to be and it is still doing that to this day. | Egh, it was about harem/ecchi anime on a previous site's anime general thread that I used to use, but it wasn't one of these giant wall of text ones like I did on here, that didn't come until later. Basically, I used that thread mostly when I was first getting into anime and from the outset I was interested in H&E stuff. I'd watch a little show, write up a thing about it in the thread, nobody would respond, so on and so forth. After doing that for a couple of shows, someone started in about how some guy they knew who did written reviews on a blog would wreck me if he ever found out I liked that show and started challenging me to go to another forum he used/find some people's twitter accounts he knew to praise harem anime. I felt like that response was condescending, so I looked into the people he namedropped, read absolutely nothing they wrote and pretty much said that a monkey with down syndrome could write a better review and that he was an absolute idiot for thinking that it was anything worthwhile. After that sort of exchange over one liners about how stupid the other one was commenced between the two of us, the rest of the thread eventually joined in and it became one of these one-liner flame wars, where I was the one the thread was calling an idiot and absolutely not adhering to common sense and whatnot. You kind of see similar environments in some threads on this board where it's one-on-many, I guess. Anyway, the only stupid thing I did there was engaging in a really childish slap-fight like that. Outside of that, it was a retarded thing to pull aggro on like that. He ended up blocking me because apparently I'm a bully and he wants nothing to do with me, yet he still continues to ping me, talk about me wherever he can, and arse me with dumb shit like this. Go figure. Also, kid left out the numerous threads he made on his early days of MAL where he pretty much invariably started getting mocked out of his own threads by everyone posting in them to try to frame me and some other guys as his first fight. So yeah, I highly, highly doubt - which is putting it lightly, I'm 100% certain because I was in most of those threads - that any three of the people he pinged was his first online fight, but such is dealing with a pathological liar. There really is absolutely no way these three people he's trying to ping were his first fights online, he's just trying to drudge up shit. Anyway, carry on. Just the mere act of interacting with this kid makes me feel like I'm on a Jerry Springer episode or something, but for fuck's sake I am tired of him being an absolute tumor and his ridiculous inability to just block somebody and then keep them out of sight, out of mind. Also, with the bit about being unable to block people and forget about them, I feel like the line at the end where he sends out a notification to everybody he's pinging and then tries to blame them for taking notice is pretty much the most laughable thing of it all. That's something that should be noted. |

| If i realise that i'm wrong when i'm having an argument with someone, i accept my defeat and move on. But i dont usually indulge in such things coz most of the time people just harass and abuse u on personally level rather than having a fruitful conversation about the topic. @Pullman is one of those guys whose opinions most of the times are unbiased. I would like to have an argument with him sometime LOL. I can learn a lot from him since he knows way more bout this medium than me. |
