 The 24th episode of Sword Art Online: Alicization anime series ended with an announcement on Sunday that its second half, subtitled War of Underworld, will premiere in October 2019. The official website also revealed a new key visual for the third cours (pictured).The "Zoku Owarimonogatari and Monogatari Series Selection" program will replace Sword Art Online: Alicization's airtime on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 channels on April 7 at 12:00 a.m. The "Monogatari Series Selection" will air six select episodes in that timeslot, followed by Zoku Owarimonogatari, which will air in six episodes beginning May 18. Kadokawa began publishing the adventure sci-fi light novel by Reki Kawahara and abec in 2009, which has 21 volumes in print as of last December. A-1 Pictures produced the first two seasons in 2012 and 2014. The Sword Art Online Movie: Ordinal Scale anime film featuring an original story by Kawahara opened in Japan in February 2017, grossing over 4.3 billion yen worldwide. Sword Art Online: Alicization is schedule to air for four cours, adapting the Alicization arc which spans from volumes 9 through 18. | Good to see A-1 Pictures taking their time by airing it in the Fall Season rather than the Summer Season! Hopefully, the animation will not downgrade in Cours 3 & 4. We’ll be getting a less rushed Part 2 of Aliciazation arc too, so looking forward to it being better than this first half as such. War of Underworld sounds pretty darn cool too by the way, hopefully it’ll be just as cool in terms of substance! |

| It was already given that they were going to split the arc into 2 different parts Nowadays, hardly any studio make long running anime's(should have more than 26 episodes ) |

I really wanted to see more of what was going on with Asuna, but we were trapped in the pitiful world known as Underworld. Seriously? 10 episodes of them climbing a tower? Then it ends on that massive cliffhanger. Pretty much my least favorite arc of SAO thus far. And I thought Alfheim was bad. its rare to see someone that i heavily agree with the tower was just absolutely horribly boring, and the characters are weak i also think that there was way too much overdramatization and emotional bullshit that just dragged on for the whole goddamn episode its also my least favourite arc so far but oh well lets see how the 2nd part plays out |
