| Dear god, guys, you are so lucky and don't even know it... Photon from - well, Photon the Idiot Adventures, duh. No, I'm not kidding, this is literally the title. He's super-strong - people over-abuse the term "over-powered", but this is where it's 100% true. No explanations, no reasons, no hints - he just is. And not just inhumanly strong like many battle shounen characters - he's godly strong, almost on Superman level. And not just that - he also has an ultimate artifact thing in his possession. This is a spoiler, but fuck it. It also not explained in any way, he just has it and that's all. He is literally, medically an idiot. So he do a lot of literally idiotic things - maybe not outright bad, but definitely not good - and can't even understand why what he doing is idiotic. He intended to be the hero of the story - in both meaning. He is the protagonist and he, supposedly, thwarts antagonist plans. Thing is - he is not a good guy - or even just a good person. Basically, it's just a pure dumb luck that, accidentally, what he has done turned out for good (not for the best, though). He oppose antagonist not because he's a good guy and antagonist is bad - but because he simply don't like the antagonist. Basically, he's just overgrown toddler Superman, but without Pa & Ma Kents good upbringing, so no moral compass at all. And, of course, because he's literally an idiot, he is - how to say... well, don't expect any good lines from him. It's a miracle that he can speak at least somewhat coherently. Oh, and he's far from being even cute, not to say pretty. But he's not GAR manly either. So, nothing to look at (intended), even in this department. How did I stumble on this ages-old, almost prehistoric shit? Well, there were AMVs gold days, and there was that somewhat famous funny Photon AMV... I simply didn't knew what the actual anime is - it was a dawn of Internet (in my country, at least), no one could tell me, so I jumped at it when I got the chance. I guess nowadays someone could say that I watched it for the memes, but there is nothing to even meme about. |

| Oh, I forgot to explain why Photon is madly over-powered: He is fighting against regular untrained old dude. Yes, with the power that could easily rival Superman's. And almost unbreakable artifact weapon. Granted, said old dude got some stupid pulp Sci-Fi weapons and your usual Evil Overlord stupid ineffective comical underlings - but it's not like giant space armada, orbital ray cannons or mechas size of the mountain. And even though, as been mentioned above, Photon is... well, not straight ugly, but definitely far from being attractive, and, as literally overgrown baby, he simply doesn't know how to treat a lady - in all meanings, yes - yet he still manages to score not just one, but two girls. This is also a spoiler, but, again, fuck it. |
