 On the second day of AnimeJapan 2019, it was announced at a special stage event that Shuuichi Asou's Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan series will have a Netflix exclusive anime featuring newly animated scenes. Director Hiroaki Sakurai returns under the production of J.C.Staff and Egg Firm. Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan originally launched as a one-shot in Shounen Jump NEXT! in August 2010. Weekly Shounen Jump published seven chapters between the 22nd and 50th issues in 2011 before serializing the manga regularly in May 2012. The series ended last February and was subsequently followed by a 4-koma manga and special chapters. Shueisha published the 26th and final volume on August 3 last year. The anime's first season aired in Summer 2016, followed by a 24-episode second season, and a 50-minute TV special last year. Source: Shounen Jump |

| So it’s basicaly a remake with little modifications and so quick already? Now, that’s new! I wonder what exactly they’ll be covering this time around. If it turns out to be a 60-episode series(standard 24 mins per episode) for instance, it’ll be amazing! Totally looking forward to this! I loved all of Saiki Kusuo and I honestly didn’t imagine we’d get more of it. Netflix is really making some interesting changes every now and then, it’s honestly taken the anime industry by a storm imo. Netflix have been a part of many projects that go for complete adaptions and I hope this is another one of them. I’d totally love to experience through this all over again even if there are just little modifications to it! |

I can't help but be somewhat nervous about the quality. Can anyone confirm? But mostly? I'M EXCITED AS HECK!!!! p.s. I really hope we get the special chapters animated! |

I guess it won't be 100% clear until more info or after the airing of the show itself. I just hope it retains the original series' quality without simply being a rehash with bonus material or the like. |

| Netflix is taking a big risk, most of the anime for Netflix are safe bets (anime that will do good in the West and/or is anime that would only be popular outside of Japan), I don't think this is very popular outside of Japan and may be not be the best idea |
